About Drill-Tec™ RhinoBond® TPO SXHD® Plate & Drill-Tec™ RhinoBond® PVC SXHD® Plate
The Drill-Tec™ RhinoBond® TPO SXHD® Plate and Drill-Tec™ RhinoBond® PVC SXHD® Plate are 3"-diameter Galvalume® steel plates with special thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coatings, respectively. They have a round design that provides an even distribution of loads and eliminates sharp corners that can damage the membrane.
Application:
Drill-Tec™ RhinoBond® TPO SXHD® Plate or Drill-Tec™ Rhinobond® PVC SXHD® Plate is used to attach rigid insulation to roof decks. The special TPO or PVC coating on the plates allows for EverGuard® TPO or PVC membrane to be welded to each plate using the RhinoBond® magnetic induction welding tool. Insulation and membrane are attached using one fastener to create a durable roofing system.
A 4" cardboard disc must be used in combination with Rhinobond® when using approved single-ply roof covers over EPS or XPS insulation. When using compressible insulation, a Tread Safe™ tube fastening system is recommended for securing TPO and PVC roofing membranes.
