John Barkhouse is the President and CEO of GAF, North America’s largest roofing and waterproofing manufacturer, a company that has protected homes, businesses, families, and communities for over 130 years. John leverages decades of business and leadership experience to drive growth for GAF and help fulfill the company’s promise to protect what matters most.
Prior to joining GAF, he was President and CEO of CabinetWorks Group, the country’s largest privately owned cabinet manufacturer. He started his career at Caterpillar, where he spent nearly two decades and established world-class operational systems and processes. More recently, he held senior leadership positions at Brookfield Asset Management and CEO roles at Clarios and Newalta Corporation.
John earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Dalhousie University and a Masters of Business Administration from Bradley University.
