About GAF Headquarters
The Challenge
GAF moved its corporate headquarters to Parsippany, NJ., in 2015, after the historic company spent 40 years occupying an 11-building campus in Wayne, N.J. GAF was determined to lead by example in environmental sustainability.
The Solution
The roof system employs RUBEROID® HW 25 Smooth Membrane as a vapor retarder, EnergyGuard™ Polyiso Insulation, and EnergyGuard™ HD Cover Board. It also includes GAF’s best-performing single-ply membrane, EverGuard Extreme® Fleece-back TPO Membrane.
GAF 2-Part Roofing Adhesive was used to fully adhere EverGuard Extreme® Fleece-back TPO to provide superior wind uplift performance. When using EverGuard Extreme® Fleece-back TPO Membrane with GAF 2-Part Roofing Adhesive, the fleece on the back of the membrane provides an added cushioning layer, which is especially important for hail-prone areas.
“I take great pride in showing our installation of the GAF membrane to industry professionals…. In addition, with the emergence of new building practices, for instance RhinoBond®, we are able to share through our publications the value that peripheral innovative products bring to
the industry.”
