  • "Absolutely terrible experience. Started off great with the quote, the price was right and we started off running. When the site inspector came, I am followed him through out the house to be sure we were on the same page. They mention that the meter/breaker would need to be replace and I agreed that it does which is an extra $3500. Later on via email they are telling me that I need inlay for my roof because my Roofing shingles are considered light weight, which will cost me $15,000 to $30,000 extra. With my experience in construction, lightweight is 5lbs or less. Heavy weight is 9 lbs or more. I weight mine with the on site inspector it was weighing 7.8 lbs. When I reached out to the sale associate about this he was as confused as I was. He told me to reach out to the Project Managers to see if there is anything we can do. I asked the sales associate who the PMs are. He said you should have gotten an email from them about the whole project by now. I told him no I have not. So he sent me their contact information and I emailed them right away. Two days passed and I have not received a word or a call from them. I wrote them a follow up email telling them I need a response by the end of the business day to determine if we should move forward. Still nothing, so I told them all to cancel my project. I can't deal with these whole situation."

  • "Let me start by saying I would highly recommend Solar Optimum. After getting quotes from several companies, I selected Solar Optimum because they were both an Enphase Platinum and REC panel authorized installer, that also provided the most competitive purchase pricing. I contracted for a whole house configuration with battery backup, which also required replacement of my main entry and service panels. They advised upfront that the process would take several months, mainly due to LA City and LA DWP review and approval periods. They were quick to respond and perform once each approval was received. Their work was fast, efficient, and high quality. The physical layout and design was logical and very clean. The electrical installation crew was efficient, knowledgeable and professional. They were easy to reach when I had questions, responding quickly to emails and phone calls with actual answers or information."
