"I called Cap City Restoration after noticing a water stain and chipping paint on our ceiling. We knew the shingles were close to 15-years-old, and the previous replacement was shoddy at best. We went into this inspection with the expectation we'd be told a replacement was in order. Jamie came out and walked the roof over, and yeah, water's getting in, but we could probably punt the replacement a year or two. Then I had him check out the attic, and the condition was way worse than we thought. The house was built in 1940, and by the looks of it, the decking and rafters were original wood. There were holes and rotting all over. Some shingles from the previous replacement weren't nailed to anything beneath them. The connection between shingle and chimney wasn't flush. It's a surprise we didn't have visible leaking earlier. Jamie gave an estimate with the variable cost of wood on top. Reasonably priced. We scheduled the replacement 3 weeks out. When the replacement time came, the crew salvaged as much wood from the original decking as possible. My wife and I are in our twenties, and Jamie having recognized that we're not made of money had the crew minimize cost as much as possible without cutting corners. The work was smooth, easy, and quick. Look, no one's excited to spend this kind of money. But Cap City, Jamie, and their crew absolutely crushed it. We weren't upsold on anything we didn't need. We had a clear line of communication throughout the whole process. And all folks involved were kind, professional, and knowledgable. 100% recommend this company. They're awesome."
