"I had an absolutely horrible experience with Simon Construction. They replaced our cedar shake roof at my home in 2009, which needed to be replaced due to storm damage and was paid for by our insurance carrier. But once they got the job, I had to constantly call to chase them down to find out when the work was going to get done. Then, a few years after the new roof's installation, multiple shingles started to curl up and a number actually fall off the roof. When we called Simon back to report this, they came out and inspected the roof and said it was due to further storm damage. When our insurance company inspected the roof, they denied our claim and said the roof damage was due to "installation error". Phil Simon (the owner) promised to take care of us and repair the roof. It hasn't done to date. So, my experience with Simon has been a frustrating one with many unreturned phone calls, a seemingly inferior product and shoddy workmanship, jobs that drag out, one that never got done, and a promise made that was never kept. As a result, I would never recommend or use them again."
