"Runyon and Sons Roofing is simply the finest roofing contractor with whom I have worked. Every aspect of their work reflects the highest level of craftsmanship one can hope for. We received proposals to replace our entire roof and gutters in a single day, and I shudder to think of what a result that approach would have yielded. Runyon’s project manager inspected our roof and gutters thoroughly and provided us with a detailed delineation of precisely what work Runyon would do and what it would cost. Runyon is expensive, but the professionalism and craftsmanship they deliver is worth every cent. Runyon’s team arrived on time as promised and spent a full week performing its work. Every team member was professional, friendly, courteous, and hard working. They were very careful to protect our gardens and home from damage during the course of the work. They worked steadily, from 8:00 AM till evening, and their efficiency was incredible. They focused on every detail and delivered a completed project within budget. Rick Goddard Runyon & Sons also inspected and replaced the roof systems on the historic Clubhouse, built in 1832, and the adjoining Lecture Hall in downtown Cleveland where I serve as the Chair of the Buildings & Grounds Committee. Runyon was one of five contractors asked to inspect the roof systems, provide a detailed written report, and submit a proposal for the work. Runyon's response was outstanding! We received an extensive written report supplemented by nearly 200 photographs which detailed the problems existing with the roofs due to prior workmanship by others and a lack of proper maintenance. Runyon's proposed price was $10,000 less than the estimate from our roofing consultant. No other contractor even approached Runyon's diligence. Runyon's team performed admirably throughout this project! They worked continuously during extremely hot weather, removed the old systems, redecked the roofs, and installed new roofs, gutters, and downspouts with remarkable craftsmanship. Each team members highly skilled, very knowledgeable, and a slight to work with. Their respect for this historic property was impressive, and they were careful to protect the commercial property next door throughout the work. "We contracted with Runyon & Sons Roofing to repair a persistent leak in the flat roof over our porch and sun room. The salesman was professional and helpful, and our estimate was very detailed. There were some delays in scheduling the repairs (2 months over tentative timeline), which was frustrating but understandable given potential weather delays. My biggest disappointment was that there was still standing rainwater on our roof after the repairs, when we had called out addressing the pitch of the roof specifically in the estimate. The company stands by their materials and workmanship with a 2 or 5-year warranty (contract is unclear), but only time will tell how the repair holds up."
