"My review is long, but I hope the information is useful. Nine Square was used by and recommended by one of my neighbors. In addition to their bid, I obtained three others. You get what you pay for. I wanted the best wind warranty I could get along with a full membrane water barrier under the shingles to minimize future leak potential. Nine Square provided a complete turnkey project. Devin and Charles did the initial presentation of their capability and the Atlas roofing products. They did a full roof inspection. They provided a comprehensive bid package including photographs, complete specifications and project details. Theirs was the most comprehensive bid package I received. The other bids: One was another commercial/residential roofing contractor with his own crews and a very good reputation. His bid was comparable to Nine -Square. The others were “quick” (my opinion) roofing contractors. Low price, contract installers and not a “certified installer” who could provide the comprehensive warranty from the manufacturer. Both of these bids were considerably lower than Nine Square and the expected results would have been down there as well. I upgraded the roofing shingle from the one originally proposed by Devin to the roofing package that provided a 150-mph wind lift rating. This Atlas roofing system offered that rating and the extensive material and labor warranty. Others offered a 130-mph rating with a weaker warranty and the bottom guys stated the product was 130 mph, but they weren’t certified to install to that level and the real manufacturer’s rating would have been 100 mph. Amy and the Nine Square team scheduled the job, and the project communications and coordination were outstanding. Henry as the job supervisor made sure everything was carried out on time and done to my expectations or beyond. Emilio and his crew are a pleasure to work with and their attention to detail is top of the line. Supplies were delivered as promised, everything and everyone showed up as scheduled and on time. This and the communication places Nine Square head and shoulders above most contractors. My roof has lots of ridges and valleys. Two locations needed extra attention to prevent water incursion and potential leaks. This was identified as part of the bid process and once work started, these areas got a lot of extra attention, everyone made sure the results were perfect. Bad plywood roofing deck was replaced, water damaged lumber was removed and replaced, slopes were adjusted as needed, stucco and flashings were removed and replaced to eliminate any potential of water incursion. All stucco and paint work were included in the proposal and again the workmanship was at or above expectations. Due to some of the extra cutting and piecing, we ran out of shingles. The crew made sure everything was sealed to prevent any water incursion and work stopped to wait on the few squares of shingles needed to complete the job. We had a lot of heavy wind and rain shortly after this and there were no issues with leaks during this period. Once the rest of the material arrived, the crew was back as scheduled to complete the project. Protection of AC, shrubs and pavers was excellent during the work. Clean up was daily and thorough. Once everything was done, there was one small area at a corner on the front of the house that didn’t look quite right. I noticed it as did Devin. Henery and the team came back out, removed the roofing and rebuilt that area from the trusses up. This is absolutely service above and beyond. Am I satisfied? Absolutely. More importantly, my wife was completely satisfied with the workmanship, communications and all the individuals she met from Nine Square. You have the freedom to select any contractor you want. Contracting with Nine Square Roofing will provide you outstanding results and peace of mind. Get several bids, evaluate the products, and talk to your potential contractors. At that point, Nine Square Roofing will have the job if you value quality and the best value for the dollar."
