"Our house was built in 1932, so in the past 90 years, I am sure it’s seen a few roofs….but hard to believe if any of those could be better than the roof put on by Kapili Roofing. I am still marveling at the workmanship and attention to detail. Workmanship?? On a roof?? You betcha!!! An outstanding job! And the crew?? 10/10. Mel, the crew lead, at times had 12 men on job, and they worked like a coordinated machine. And each guy was so thoughtful and courteous. And then there was Lucas, he came in on the last day the finish up and dress things off and flash an attached shed roof. Prolly spent two hours going around with a magnet to pick up any loose nails. He was great! Cassandra kept us updated throughout all the rain delays. Much appreciated. If anyone is ever considering replacing their roof, I would say that it’s a no brainer to reach out to Kapili Roofing."

"My bank had requested that I do a roof inspection from a licensed contractor, so I called Kapili and was transferred over to Jordan after explaining my needs. Jordan was very easy to talk to and I immediately felt comfortable with the procedure. Of course I wanted the inspection done ASAP, so he found something within a week, GREAT! He calls me back to tell me he had made calls to a few inspectors and one was able to come in the next day, on the weekend!! PEFECT!! Quion showed up on time, 10 minutes early, explained what he was going to be doing and what he's going to be looking for. Through out the inspection, he was very detailed on what he found and the condition of the roof. By Monday Jordan had given me a call to say the report was done and I could send it off to my bank. "In addition to seeing their commercials, we received four personal recommendations from friends and relatives that led us to schedule a re-roofing appointment following the heavy rain in December that led to a leak on our living room ceiling. We have no regrets - Kapili Roofing exceeded our expectations. Under foreman Andrew the men worked as a team to get the job done. Friendly chatter, kidding, joking, and laughter scattered throughout their two days of hard work under sunny skies. We could sense the camaraderie even as they labored to remove two layers of old roofing on a 52-year-old house and replace it with new felt and shingles. They did a good job, worked well as a team, were polite and respectful to us. At the end of each day, they cleaned up any debris on the ground. Very thorough and professional. "They did a great job and the roof looks beautiful with the higher grade shingles chosen. The problem was all the sharp tacks, nails and green caps with sharp staples that was left all over the yard. It went through my slipper and poked the bottom of my foot and got stuck on the side of my foot when I walked outside. Even after I purposefully walked through the yard to find them, I still kept stepping on them even a week later. I don't have much yard. Just a strip of sparse grass along the back (40' x 3' strip) and a 7'x7' patch of grass. But in this very small area I found roughly 45 of these! Huge safety hazard! I texted them about it and sent pictures, and even stated that it went through my slipper and poked my foot. But I did not receive a response. The marketing person came to take pictures of the roof to use for advertising and I gave him the quart-size bag with all the sharp rusty nails and tacks. He apologized and said he'd let the crew leader know. I think Kapili is a good company. I've had them paint my house and now install a new roof. I would hire them again. I just think they should walk through the yard carefully with a magnet to pick up all the sharp debris before leaving. Prevention of injury and the customer's safety should be a #1 concern and priority of the company. I think the job was a "fails to meet" in the area of safety. For this reason, I was unable to rank this a five star job."
