"**UPDATE** I received an email from Sarah to set up a call to discuss my comments. I wasn't sure what to expect, but what I got from her and Greg who was also on the line was straight professionalism, honesty, an honest apology and a solution to the billing issue I had without drama, in fact Sarah led with that. Not what I expected. They also sincerely thanked me for my honest feedback as a way to make their business better. This does not happen folks. You can't get this level of customer service at McDonald's over cold fries any more! Since the call she has also helped with warranty and rebates questions I had until solved. Once again I am so happy I went with GSR and with this experience I would highly recommend to others to go with them for roof repairs. I now have no doubt that if I had a warranty issue, they would also stand behind that and get it fixed for me. This is 5/5 star's performance!! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I got three bids and GSR was not the cheapest, but I decided to go with them because of their professionalism upfront, 3-year transferable workmanship warranty and because I had a long-term leak around a chimney in the middle of my roof and all of the flashing was fabricated specifically in the shop to individual specifications of the chimney instead of bought off the shelf or fabricated on site. I was sent texts initially updating me and a link to a website for my job where documents and photos could be uploaded. I thought all of this was pretty spiffy and a good way to keep the customer informed. However, once I accepted their bid it was never really used again and only updated a week after completion with payment options. Greg came out a second time to sign the contract, choose colors for all metal (nice touch) and shingles and answer all my questions. The crew showed up a day earlier than scheduled and got straight to work. Tear off and recover was fast. I had an area that needed to be repaired behind the chimney and I was asked and agreed to the repair. I was not told the cost and I didn't ask (my fault) so I was shocked at the cost charged for a treated 2x4, six joist hangers and the repair labor cost that took maybe an hour when my final bill arrived. The major part of the roof replacement and dry-in took a full crew a day, a partial crew another day and a couple touchups a third day. I did have to point out the flashing around my two "sun tunnels" that was not sealed and rescrewed down to the crew that spoke no English on the second day, but they understood. All metal roof exhaust vents and flashing were also replaced and color matched. The cleanup was very good! I did have a ton of nails in my gutter screens though and a couple on my driveway that I got with my own rolling magnet, but this is normal in any roofing job. They did fill my trash can with roofing trash after they took their tip trailer away the first day...not ideal. The only real complaint I have and the reason for 4/5 stars is that once the job was completed I never had a final inspection with Greg or anyone as I expected. Maybe my expectations were off, but with how personal and professional things were on the front end, I expected a final walk-thru at the end. Instead it was just an emailed bill without any of that customer service stuff displayed up front. A walk through should be completed with the customer in my opinion. I received my written AND transferable written warranties a day after paying which was really cool. It has rained and poured twice since the job was completed and so far all is well. I'm very happy with the workmanship, the warranties and performance at large. Glad I chose them."
