"Heard great things about this company. The owner came out gave us a reasonable estimate I contracted them to do the work then things went south from there. 1. They seemed in a rush not paying much attention to detail. When they did the demo it was done on a cloudy day part of the demo included the removal of several skylights which they removed even though it had started raining! The owner then got upset because I asked the to stop work on account of my dining room getting soaked with rain water. 2. Tile was placed with little to no regard very wavy. No control point were used just rushed through it…the sub doing the work told me the owner was pressuring him to get the work done…in and out. Was holiday season and they wanted to get it done fast. When I complained of the uneven tile…the owner stated ‘well it meets code… 3. To date I still have leaks in my roof it’s actually worse than before this company ever touched it. I asked for them to come down and fix it…but their warranty is only good for 5 years. Many others provide ten year warranty’s. 4. The T &G in my terrace has never been the same. They ripped out nails and damaged the wood. The flashing was incompetently installed causing leaks through wall. 5.I am in the construction industry and would never recommend this company to anyone they provide sub-par service and don’t really care what they leave behind."

"I’ve used Earl Johnston Roofing since 2005. They put my roof on after hurricane Wilma. I’ve had them come out to fix leaks, including 2 I had that were fixed today. Mike came to fix them. He is awesome! Professional, fast even showed me pictures of the problems. I was concerned that I needed a new roof. He told me that my roof was in good shape and I didn’t need a new roof yet. That is a testament to the honesty of the company. When I do need a new roof. You better believe I’m calling Earl Johnston Roofing. Trust me, you can’t do better."

"We’ve used EWJ Roofing 4 times. Giving 4 stars as an average for the times we used them. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Corrected a front porch overhang that was drooping. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fix a leak caused by damaged/rotted wood on the roof. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Replaced an entire roof for our main house. There were issues with a vent strip we requested to go around the entire house. We actually had an area of the house that had the type of strip we wanted. We were told they could do it. Ultimately, they couldn’t get that strip and had to use something else which was not installed well and to this day annoys me. We had to call them back out to make it look halfway presentable. We would have preferred them actually checking to see if what we wanted was available before starting and than having to use a substitute because it wasn’t available. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Replaced some rotted wood on the exterior of a detached garage building we have on our property. We were getting our house painted this week and the wood needed to be replaced ASAP. We called them last Thursday morning (11/2/23). They came out that evening and provided a quote. Upon executing the contract that evening they completed the job on Monday 11/6/23. Very pleased with the how quickly they were able to complete the work and how it came out. Would use them again and will recommend. If there is ever a need for a special request, like the vent strip situation, I would triple check that I would be getting EXACTLY what I want and not a substitute."
