      About GAF Multi-Purpose Primer

      GAF Multi-Purpose Primer is a two-component, water-based epoxy, 9-to-1 ratio primer. It is effective at increasing the adhesion of acrylic, polyurethane, butyl, and silicone coatings over most new or existing roof, deck, and wall substrates.

      Easy to use

      GAF Multi-Purpose Primer may be applied by brush, roller, or spray. Simply mix Part A individually, then add Part B into Part A and mix until achieving a uniform consistency. Once mixed, the usable pot life is approximately 2 hours at 75°F (24°C). Use water and soap to thoroughly flush equipment.       Blocks asphalt oil bleed-through

      Helps prevent unsightly stains from oils that can seep from asphalt substrates.

      Promotes adhesion

      Promotes adhesion of the top coat to hard-to-stick surfaces.

      Tinted for visibility

      A slight red tint makes the product easily identifiable on TPO or other white surfaces.
