The Challenge
The Convention Center still had the original 20-year-old mechanically attached TPO over a metal roof with tapered polyiso insulation to maintain proper positive drainage. During installation there were a couple sumps with wrinkles in them and with a fully-adhered system it is difficult to move the material, so the team had to have an eye for detail when installing the self-adhered TPO membrane.
The Solution

To achieve a reliable roof in a timely manner, the contractor opted for GAF’s EverGuard® Self Adhered TPO. Ready to install from the factory, it helped the crew complete large areas of the roof in less time. “GAF’s new Everguard SA TPO was the perfect choice for the job. It was fast and friendly to our crew and we were able to complete larger areas in less time than other TPO sheets.” - Kevin Robles, Project Manager, Delta Innovation Services

“I would highly recommend this material to anyone. Brooming the sheet right away allowed us to have smooth transitions up the wall, and we spent less time adhering without the use of termination bars.”
