Clean Cut Roofing & Siding – Our Story Clean Cut Roofing & Siding has been building trust and protecting homes since 2003—but our roots go back even further. Our owner, Vern Akauola, began roofing right out of high school in the summer of 1997. What started as a one-person operation has steadily grown into a thriving family business with two office locations, in Mt. Pleasant and Salt Lake City, Utah. At first, our focus was only roofing. But in 2007, Vern teamed up with a larger Salt Lake company to run their roofing division. During that partnership, he also gained valuable experience in siding and windows. By 2012, Clean Cut Roofing & Siding officially expanded into siding, and in 2023, we proudly added windows to our list of services. Over the past two decades, we’ve completed thousands of projects—homes, schools, and churches—always with the same commitment: quality work, integrity, and reliability. We know that over 90% of businesses fail in their first five years, which makes our 20+ years in business something we’re deeply proud of. That success comes down to grit, consistency, and an incredible team of people who share our values. Just as important as the work we do on homes is the work we do in our communities. From sponsoring high school sports, rodeos, and youth programs, to coaching for more than a decade, to awarding annual scholarships for students entering the trades—we believe in investing in the next generation. We’re also honored to support veterans, including helping them take part in Honor Flights to Washington, D.C. Over the years, we’ve also given away free roofs to families in need and continue to host up to $15,000 exterior giveaway sweepstakes for deserving homeowners.
