About EverGuard® Polymat Separation & Cushioning Layer

EverGuard® Polymat Separation Layer and EverGuard® Polymat Cushioning, Layer are non-woven polyester mats used with single-ply roofing systems.
EverGuard® Polymat Separation Layer is 3 oz./yd. (85 g/m2)
EverGuard® Polymat Cushioning Layer is 6 oz./yd. (170 g/m2)
• Slip sheets are used beneath mechanically attached single-ply membranes in certain re-cover applications, as well. as on top of membranes in ballasted single-ply systems

Application


EverGuard® Polymat Separation Layer and EverGuard® Polymat Cushioning Layer may be installed on:

Ballasted Systems
• Install separation mat loose-laid over the membrane, ensuring that wrinkles and buckles are not formed.
• Overlap separation mat a minimumof 6" (152 mm) for side and end laps.
• Immediately install ballast or pavers over the loose-laid separation mat.

Mechanically Attached Systems
• Install polymat protection layer between the roofing membrane and the substrate in accordance with the EverGuard® TPO/PVC Mechanically Attached Roofing System Design Table(s).
• Install polymat protection layer loose-applied over substrate surface so that wrinkles and buckles are not formed.
• Overlap polymat protection layer a minimum of 6" (152 mm) for side and end laps. See published application and specifications manual for detailed instructions.
