About Us

Westshore Roofing, Inc. has been offering complete residential and commercial roofing services to Bay Area homes and homeowners’ associations since 1992, handling everything from roof installations and repairs to gutter installations and roof inspections. The company provides a wide selection of products. Paul Fowler, our president, a native from North Devon, England, settled here in the Bay area in 1987. Shortly after, he began his career in the roofing industry. For the next 6 years, Paul practiced and learned the trade, installing many different types of roof systems. Paul feels this opportunity to gather, learn, and gain a wealth of ''hands on'' installation knowledge, has attributed to the success of Westshore Roofing, Inc., which he and his wife, Shirine, founded in 1992. Westshore Roofing Inc. has become San Jose's premier commercial and residential roof repair company. Paul is still active in the field of operations and takes time to participate in overseeing the current day-to-day roof installations. The company currently employs 30 full-time employees who are all experts in residential and commercial roof installations in the San Jose area. Westshore Roofing, Inc. is truly a family run business. Paul's wife, Shirine is responsible for the business administration and their son Ben, who joined the company in 2008, facilitates project operations for the company. Combining the amenities of a large-scale roofing company with a family-oriented business approach has been an important part of the company’s success. “It’s very important for us to achieve 100 percent customer satisfaction on every project,” Westshore Roofing, Inc. focuses on winning patronage through sharing its vast knowledge of roofing information so prospective clients can make their own educated decisions and an appropriate service plan can be customized to meet their individual needs.     "Before going with Westshore Roofing, I spent two or three weeks interviewing local roofers, it was a frustrating process because most of them seem to be lone rangers and the way they created a quote was so unprofessional and so informal, they first climbed up the roof with a tape measurement for 30 min or so, then started to write on a piece of scratch paper a list of tasks that would be performed for a re-roofing job, at the end, they put a high number but immediately worked down the number with discount like senior, AARP, credit union etc., which reminded me of the old day door to door vacuum cleaner salesman. When I finally reached out for Westshore, it's so refreshing, the rep Terry immediately responded to my phone call, came to my house on Sat morning, walked through the outside of the house, observed the structure, and checked from inside of the garage to see if there were plywood, etc. He didn't even have to climb up the roof to do a measurement, because with today's technology, the size of the roof can be easily and accurately measured and calculated through the satellite and the software, I immediately feel the professionalism, the team work, and the company behind it. This is exactly what I am looking for, I need a company, a corporate entity not an individual that can truly stand behind the job and the warranty, not to mention the well prepared computer generated quote with a clean and clear list of tasks and a very fair price. The whole re-roofing task went smoothly, it's so well managed, and well communicated, I was informed what to prepare and what to expect through email and phone call a few days before the re-roofing task. The whole project took about a week or so to complete. The whole team are polite, courteous, well behaved, and the workmanship are first class, I can wholeheartedly recommend them for any roof jobs. You cannot go wrong with Westshore roofing. period."

    "I called Westshore for a roofing quote. Terry Zheng came out and introduced the GAF timberline solar roof. After careful consideration, it makes sense to do the timberline solar roof. Not only take advantage of the tax credit. But with zero down and low monthly payment. It can save money right away. I can walk on the roof without worrying about damaging the timberline solar roof. Westshore did a great job from beginning to finish."
