Not all wind warranties are created equal. GAF's WindProven™ Limited Wind Warranty1 has no maximum wind speed limit, where some traditional wind warranties do. It also does not have a named storm exclusion which limits coverage on hurricanes and tropical storms officially recognized by the World Meteorological Organization, even if they are within the warranty’s wind speed coverage. When installed with the required combination of four GAF Accessories, Timberline® Shingles with LayerLock® Technology are eligible for an industry first: a wind warranty with no maximum wind speed limitation.
