The future is taking shape
Construction is well underway on the new, state-of-the-art shingle manufacturing facility in Newton, Kansas and is expected to be complete by Fall 2027. Following testing and commissioning, the plant expects to begin production by the end of 2027 and reach full production capacity by mid-2029.

The Newton plant expands GAF’s residential roofing operations, specifically producing GAF’s #1 selling Timberline® brand of residential roofing shingles—a brand that helps protect 1 in 4 homes in the United States. This new facility adds capacity to meet growing customer demand and provides room for future product innovation, with production anticipated to begin in 2027 and reach full capacity by mid-2029.
The facility will create over 130 high-skilled roles spanning engineering, management, and operations. Candidates can view active openings and apply directly through the GAF Careers portal.
