  • "Bottom line: over promises and under delivers with poor project management. It doesn't appear they have a system to track and manage projects... at all. We contracted with them back in March 2021 to install siding and replace one window. The salesman was professional, yet long winded, and the samples were of a much better quality than the builder grade siding installed when the house was built 20 years ago. A little pricey though at $30some thousand total. The person who came out to conduct the measurements seemed unsure of the project's parameters and was, frankly, a little odd. A couple months passed and we reached out to the company on multiple occasions to get an update on our project and confirm the product had been ordered. We were assured multiple times it had been ordered and received a letter blaming COVID and production delays for the delay of our product. Come August, (about a month before our first child was due) we were getting anxious this project wasn't going to be completed before the baby got here. Spoiler, it didn't. After multiple more calls, we finally got a call saying the order had NEVER BEEN PLACED and this was about two weeks before I was due, but they gave us a small discount on the overall cost or, the option to cancel the contract. Hoping this wasn't a systemic problem, we chose the discount. Fast forward to mid-October, we received a letter with a sample of our product saying our order was in and to CALL them to schedule our delivery and installation. It's now 30 November, we were promised the siding would be delivered last week after continuously hounding them (I should have known better since it was Thanskgiving week) and installed this week. I return to work in less than a month now and was hoping this would be completed before then. So far, my messages go unreturned and there's snow on the ground. 0/10, do not recommend. Will update if this ever gets resolved and comment on the quality of work and product, if we can't find a way to cancel the contract now. We are tired of being jerked around and continuous disappointment."

  • "I purchased a new shower and bath to replace my existing one. While I enjoy the shower and tub, and everything went smoothly, upon getting new information later on from the installers (independent contractors) as well as seeing the install process, it became very clear that I was blatantly lied to on multiple points by the salesman that I met with to talk about getting this tub and shower. It took months after install to get these concerns addressed and when they were, I was sent a settlement check for just $250, when I had spent over $8,000 for the project. The price is absurd, I did not get a portion of what I asked for and was not notified (the tub face was supposed to have an etched design), C Michael took forever to get back to me on all this and I had called nearly 20 times, and the resolution was paltry and insulting. Good tub, good shower, good install, good warranty, absolutely horrendous pricing, a lying salesman, and an absolutely abysmal response to these issues after the fact. Had I not been lied to, I would've not bought the shower and tub and might have done it myself. I have no issue with things being priced beyond what they should be; I have issue with being lied to. If the crux of your business model hinges on lying to customers and then moving at a glacial pace to address things, you don't have a good business model."

  • "Last year we had our entire house resided and some stone work done as well.we recieved an expensive quote but figured the quality of work would match the price.i was assured by the sales rep that the quality of work was going to be top notch. I was scheduled to have the job started in August..no call...no show so I called CMichael. I was told that my product was not in stock yet and it may take more time. After waiting an additional few days with no follow up call..i decided to reach out and ask for a refund. the next day my product was in and someone was going to deliver and start the work a few days later. At first glance everything seemed to be acceptable. Upon closer inspection later I noticed that the warped pieces of siding that were delivered were used at the top of my house In the back - gutters that were not secured to the house and flashing that was pulling away from the wood as well as sections of siding were sagging on the house.. In addition to this , not all squares of siding were used ..and even though I paid for the product, it was taken away. Now before someone tries to say " why didn't you see these things right away..well I am very busy and hence the reason I hired a professional to do the work. If I am paying premium..u would expect the work to match the amount. If I have to waste my time checking others work...I would have gone with a cheaper quote as I would expect that level of service."

  • "I paid $15,000 for a bathroom. My bathroom is very small so I thought that price was outrageous but thought that I would be provided with a perfect stunning bathroom afterwards so wasn't that bothered. From the beginning I had nothing but issues with C. Michael. My bathroom remodel took place months after it was supposed to and my start date was rescheduled numerous times. The man who originally came out to my house to measure for my new window had measured it completely wrong leaving the actual guy who put the window in with a false measurement which pushed my start date back even further due to having to order a new window since the measurements were wrong. Then once the project started the transition piece and the light fixture were still somehow not in stock. It was over a week later that the light came in and once it did they came back and it was installed and I was told the medicine cabinet would no longer fit so that was ripped off the wall. I am now left with a shower that looks beautiful and a wall that looks extremely unprofessional not too mention two mismatched light bulbs one that doesn't even work were placed in the light fixture. For maybe a $5,000-$8,000 bathroom I wouldn't be as upset but to pay $15,000 to have my bathroom left looking half done is extremely unprofessional and overpriced. Not too mention I have to still patch numerous holes in my walls and paint."

  • "I scheduled an appointment for tomorrow 5/8/21 to get an estimate for a quote to get 15 windows and a siding replaced. At the time of my initial call i was asked if i would allow hard inquiry on credit report to see if i would qualify for their financing.I was also asked if i ever filled bankruptcy.I answered that yes, I have some years ago but since then my credit has been restored.I declined.Today I received a call to confirm my appointment.I was asked again if i would allow them to run my credit report. after i declined I was informed that unless I provide them a "proof" that i have sufficient funds for the project they will not send anyone to give me a quote. Apparently do to my "recent" bankruptcy (4-5 years ago) they aren't willing to come out to give me a quote.I informed the lady on the phone that i have sufficient funds in cash in my bank account and asked what kind of "proof" of that they need .She then proceed to quote me 1000$ per window and 20000 for siding. The whole thing was bizarre . I'm in the middle of a flip on a property and had many quotes done before for various services and had never had such an expirence. Needles to say i canceled my appointment with them and definitely will not be recommending this company to anyone."

  • "April 2021 We bought a house last fall and spent our first winter in it. During this time, we could clearly see and feel how uninsulated our windows were. Some original to the build of the house. I would be sitting at my desk working and see my curtains move and constantly feel the cold air on my fingers. It was a no brainer this was going to be our first major home improvement/project for our new house. We talked to two different companies and decided to go with C. Michael Exteriors for several reasons. Our salesperson Gary Langdon did a wonderful job explaining the process of how the windows were manufactured and showing us the very different factors of these windows from other companies. The multiple layers of insulating are a big factor for us. There are a several choices on colour, grides and type of style window you are looking for. We needed to replace seven windows. Two larger windows, converting one from a bay to regular, two basement, and three “normal” room size. Each window is made to specifically to fit your needs and made here in the USA. Gary assured us the ease of the project from the skilled workers coming to put in the windows. This was a big concern of ours. We wanted to make sure everything was picked up and clean. Gary assured us the workers are very professional and will go through all the workings of the windows with us once completed. He was not wrong! We got a call saying our windows were ready and could they come that week (a few weeks earlier than estimated ). Chance and his crew showed up right on time that day and were all very professional and courteous. Each worker that came had a specific job on each window and this made the process go so fast and smooth. You can tell they have been doing this together a long time. It was flawless and like a “well-oiled machine”. They were completed with in a few hours. Not days or a whole day, a few hours! The professionalism from Gary and all the skilled workers is definitely a reason to do business with C. Michael Exteriors. We highly recommend for any project that they can accommodate. Thank you for making our first home improvement project a successful one!"

  • "The professionalism from start to finish was an excellent experience when we had 15 windows replaced in 2012. It was basically two visits. And all of the windows were installed by a very quick and precise team. They were very careful and courteous as well. I have recommended them to anyone looking to make improvements on their home!"

  • "So we paid a great amount of money to have siding put on my house. They told us they would be able to make everything straight. They also told us there would not be a ton of seams do to the long lengths of siding. Siding is coming off no a monthly basis. They had two guys here fixing the siding that's was coming off. The two guys fell off the roof and broke a window 3 months ago and still not taken care of. The wife has called a few times and we have gotten no we're ...... Think twice before you hirer this company........."

  • "We had a great experience working with C. Michael Exteriors. We enjoyed our first meeting learning about the differences in window panes, as well as glass quality. We had all the windows in our house replaced and the entire project took less than a day. The crew worked well and overall we are VERY pleased with our new windows. They even added new trim around the windows to make our home look fresh and clean. The new windows give our house the added outside touch that was needed. Also, they open and close so smoothly and are very easy to clean, which was something I was really looking forward to. Lastly, we had a few scuff marks left after the initial install that I was unable to get off myself. We called C. Michael Exteriors and they sent someone to come and take a look right away. He was very kind and removed all the marks from the window frames, and even went around to check every other window while he was here. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and absolutely recommend C. Michael Exteriors to anyone needing work done."

  • "We were extremely pleased with C. Michael’s professional installation of our new casement windows. The old windows were glued in place and were removed only with great difficulty; but the work was completed in a day. Clean up was done perfectly. There were several men in the crew, all of whom were cheerful and very respectful as they did their work. Their foreman was helpful, courteous and firmly in control. The completed installation was superb. We highly recommend C. Michael Exteriors and will use their services again should the need arise."

  • "From the estimate to the work being performed, everyone was professional and honest. We replaced all our windows and siding - they did a great job. I will definitely call them back when i need more work done on my home."

  • "Had a walk in shower installed. I am extremely pleased with the finished product. Matt did a great job! I was originally scheduled for a tentative January install but everything came in early and Matt was kind enough to call and let me know I could get it done right away. I would definitely recommend this company without a doubt!"

  • "Final Product /Installation grade: A Communication - pre-installation: C- - We were told that the job would start within 4-6 weeks. Actual time: 9 weeks. This was likely COVID-19 related, which is understandable. We started calling the office on week 5 to get an estimate on job start. We made 3 calls over a 10 day period and were finally were contacted with updated information a few days after the 3rd call. We eventually received a letter indicating a pushed-back start date, but this was well after we already knew this. - During the measurement phase, the foreman indicated that the existing wood soffits would be removed and replaced with their product. Additionally, the vents on either side of the attic would be covered up to allow for optimal air flow from the new soffit vents to the roof vent. Installation: A - I randomly asked the crew chief about the soffits. He said that their product would be placed directly over the existing wood soffits. We agreed to cut extra vents prior to installation. Also, the vents on either side of the attic were treated and left open/active, counter to what I had been told during the initial measurements of pre-installation. -+ The crew does do a great job of clean-up at job completion. For the majority of jobs, which may take 5 days or so, this would likely be perfectly fine as-is. Our particular installation took 2 weeks. I typically walk barefoot in my yard, as do the neighborhood children that pass through here. I would take nightly walk-arounds to inspect the work of the day. I regularly found a handful (not 1 or 2 - a handful) of 3" nails on the ground, as well as screws. The band-saw used for cutting materials to size was moved to various positions around the house. There were sharp corners left behind. My position is that a 5-10 minute nightly clean-up routine would help to alleviate the majority of these. Again, this should take nothing away from the crew, who did an all-around excellent job. This should be a company-wide policy, not left up to the individual crews. + On day one of installation, our landline phone lost service. To his credit, the crew chief made several efforts to fix it, but was unsuccessful. They graciously acknowledged that they would cover the cost of repair. Fortunately, the phone company repaired the issue without cost. + There were regular quick progress updates with the crew chief of what was covered for that day, as well as to address any concerns that we had. Crew: A + This is hard work. The four crew members were prompt, courteous and did their jobs exceptionally well. + Some existing windows were installed without insulation. This was pointed out to us and they took care of it! + On the one hand, you *definitely* know that new siding is going up on your house, on the other hand, the crew is very independent and unobtrusive. + The crew chief was excellent with communication and handling our concerns."
