A new journey begins

As an industry partner of the DoD SkillBridge Program, GAF provides transitioning service members with an opportunity to participate in a premier industrial training experience. We invite qualified candidates to apply for our six-month maintenance training program at one of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.

GAF operates dozens of manufacturing facilities across the United States. Our plants run 24 hours a day, creating residential and commercial roofing supplies. We are always in search of skilled multi-craft technicians with mechanical and electrical experience to participate in hands-on training in support of the highest levels of safety, professionalism, and, of course, quality.

Eligibility and requirements

To be considered for GAF SkillBridge training, candidates must meet the requirements below. Please note training does not guarantee a job placement but provides candidates with valuable career skills.

  • Be able to participate in a six-month, on-site training at the location determined by GAF
  • Meet all SkillBridge general eligibility requirements, per DoDI 1322.29
  • Demonstrate the experience and expertise set forth in the GAF job description
