We were looking to change out some exterior weathered wood and to have it all wrapped to slow future weathering. He set our expectation when the work would be completed and followed up through the time with updates. The two teams that did the work were amazing. They arrived early in the morning and one night left into the dark. They worked efficiently and seemed to move pretty quickly to get everything done. I couldn't be happier with the result. "Shiner installed four skylights for me in January 2022, replacing the original four from the 1980s which had failed and were leaking. They were swift to give me an estimate and booked me in for a few weeks later for the installation. The price was fair, the service was excellent, the staff incredibly courteous throughout and I will definitely use again. I should mention that they had done work for me on my roof at my old townhouse so I knew what level of service to expect. I was not disappointed."

Our wind damaged roof was replaced by a talented team of installers who took the time to install the plywood where needed, the custom molded flashing, shingles and sealed every possible point to prevent future leaks. Finally, they meticulously cleaned the entire area around our home of debris and nails. To date we have not found a stray nail! The team was dedicated, outstanding and efficient. "This company has been a horrible mistake. Their contractors have already been to my house twice to "fix" our leaking roof, and apparently, will now have to come out a third time. I stand here writing this next to a bucket in place to catch the rain water pouring into my kitchen. Shiner Roofing insisted they fixed the issue previously, (on two different occasions) and refused to address the valley where three other companies advised the problem was. We were told Shiner was supposed to address the valley, but contractors on site alleged that wasn't an issue. Low and behold, it most certainly is. My husband climbed up into the attic and videoed the water coming in. We now have damage to our ceiling, wood flooring, and pod lighting because of this inept company. And they refuse to cover and/or fix the interior damage our house as sustained due to their shoddy workmanship. We are in the process of tarping the roof AGAIN ourselves since we've gotten quite good at it. Plus, Shiner's 24/7 emergency call back service isn't calling back. Helpful. DO NOT HIRE SHINER ROOFING!!! If I could rate them zero stars, I would."

"Deck renovation. Done very professionally and high quality, in customer responsive fashion. Included a challenging effort to properly level deck, which had been badly sloped (due to mis-installation of footers) for as long as we have owned the house. Deck is now perfectly level for the first time ever. Also converted deck and railings to synthetic material to mitigate high maintenance caused by surrounding large trees. Very nicely worked around existing gazebo, patio, and significant plantings in vicinity of deck with minimal impact."

"Shiner installed our roof 15 years ago. After a storm knocked down our gutter and caused limited roof damage, we contacted a few companies to get a repair estimate. One company recommended replacing all the shingles on the roof on that side because they knew we were filing an insurance claim. Shiner recommended replacing just a few shingles at a much lower cost, and they did the work on schedule."

"Over all we had a very good experience. The only issue we had was that the first available appointment they had wasn't convenient for us and we were told they would call us back with an updated schedule that day. Unfortunately we had to call back a couple of days later because we had not heard from the office. The installer, Luke, was terrific and overall the office was also terrific. Good experience and I would recommend Shiner Roofing to others."

"Shiner appears to be somewhat of a rarity in the greater DC area in their consistently diligent follow up and commitment to customer service on the ongoing project. The job at our house required that all electricity be shut off at the main line meaning involvement of the power company. We rescheduled the initial job date so that we wouldn’t experience temperature extremes in the temporary absence of heat or A/C. Shiner was extremely flexible and efficient in resolving our concerns. The seemingly ominous task of involving a monolithic third party while simultaneously completing the work quickly turned out to be cake, thanks to the thorough professionalism of Shiner Roofing."

"Ryan Turner, Senior Sales Consultant, provided the estimate for my roof. He went into my attic and on to my roof so he could provide the best assessment of my roof and the cost to replace it. I needed to contact him after his visit to my home to get information to put into my Design Review Board paperwork to Reston Association for CertainTeed Landmark shingles. Even though it was late in the evening, he got back to me within minutes with answers to all of my questions. The office staff was also very responsive and thorough. The installation team was great too. They started and finished on time. They covered any areas on my property (and also on my neighbor’s property) that could be damaged by flying shingles. They left my property and my neighbor's property in excellent condition. They even swept the front sidewalk for me before they left. Their price was also good and they accommodated getting my roof done before my siding installation. Pat Bailey"

Jack Johnson was great to work with and extremely patient as I took a couple of months to discuss some changes with my HOA. He was also spot on about getting my roof replaced - we noticed that some of the boards were in bad shape once they came off. We live in a townhouse community, so cleanup was important. The roof installation crew cleaned up everything from our neighbors' yards to make sure there were no errant roofing nails and debris. This was much appreciated."

"We highly recommend Shiner Roofing. We had 4 estimates and Shiner’s price was in the middle. All the elements of a roof installation were explained but there was no hard sell pressure. We had seen the quality of their work in the neighborhood and knew they had been in business for 40 years. They did a great job of installing the new roof. After the shingles and tar paper came off we found the original decking was rotting. The project manager explained why we should get new decking even though it would be an added expense. He had taken multiple photos to show us the rotted and warped areas. The supplies arrived in a timely manner, and the clean up was complete. Everyone we worked with was pleasant and professional. I liked the extra step of spray painting black the metal pipes that come out of the roof. I had never seen that before and it blends the pipes with the shingles. The project manager came by the next day to inspect the completed job. A most satisfying experience."
