  • "This company is extremely sexist! Though I am the owner of my home and make all financial decisions I was told they would not come out to do an estimate without my husband home. I reiterated he might be working and I’m the owner. It would not have been so bad until they were a no show this morning and when I called it was based on if he was here. This is taking sales to a not ok level. I know they just wanted to close on an order same day and thought that would have made the difference, they are wrong. I’m glad they didn’t come since I wanted to cancel anyway. I would not do business with a company like this!"

  • "We had been dreaming of a new bathroom ever since we saw the Delta Faucet commercial with the man singing into the shower head. I saw an add on Face Book and decided to give them a call. The sales representative came to our home and talked about the company, the history, the ratings and then showed us the product. Our project included removal of the walk in shower and replacing it with cabinetry. Replacing the toilet as they were too low. We also needed to replace the cabinets at the sink area and remove the mirror on the wall and replace with mirrored storage cabinets. The garden tub we wanted to convert into a walk in shower. We picked out which colors we wanted and the flooring we wanted as well. The price came back at $26,000+ not including the cabinets or mirrored storage above the sink. We felt we could pay to have a great job done. I would recommend the company check out the product they order for an installation to make sure what was ordered is what came out. It was not the case in our remodel. What we thought would take 5 days - turned out to be 30+ days. When they installed the cabinets (after patching) us priming and painting - even with the 3/4 inch space the walls were gauged badly so much so that it had to be re-plastered, primed and painted again. We had to ask them to caulk around the top of the shower in case water leaked behind. The walls around the bathroom were also damaged. We had to wait longer because the counter top was too narrow - which is a good thing because it wouldn't have fit if it were. Then when they told me the correct countertop came in - I asked them if the backsplash came in because we didn't have it at the house - they got in the wrong backsplash as well. End result is - we had to do extra work to patch up, clean up - thought with the price we paid, it would have been a neater cleaner job. A few days after the install, we got a call from the company to see what we thought. I explained the story to her, she apologized and said she would have the owner give us a call. He never did. Instead we had a gentleman know at the door, ask us 6 or so questions that were a yes or no response then he turned away and left. If you use this company, they do have good product - but you need to stay on top of them."

  • "Unique redid our bathroom. We feel like we are at a hotel now. It's beautiful. They are the neatest people who have ever been in our home. They put down a tarp to cover where they were walking back and forth to the door. When they were done and took the tarp up, they vacuumed the carpet. They even cleaned the fingerprints off the storm door!"

  • "Signed up for a prize deal. Had to listen to a sales pitch from nice people who came to the house. They gave a really high quote for the work. Then the calls started. About every couple months they call and ask about doing work. Im very open with them. I signed up for a prize. Unless I'm getting the prize don't call me. They keep calling. Even when I'm straight forward about being "not interested in paying for anything from you, I only wanted the prize." Salesman kept pushing on the phone. I have asked to be removed from the call list or to have a note in my account saying DO NOT CALL. I bet I still get a call in a couple months."

  • "Buyer and first time homeowner Beware These guys will scam you into a sale that is WAY overpriced (most likely to line their pockets). They reel you into products by explaining how much better they are than box stores...but after finding out differences, it's not by much. I paid $4000 (almost was 4.5k) For an entry door fully installed with one half circle window on top (no door knob hardware) I soon found out it was WAY too much for one door! My rear entry door and a man door for the garage was only $2500! Also you pay for "quality and a warranty" but they charge you $100+ to come out to fix anything. Find somewhere else"

  • "This company was wonderful from the beginning up until the end. The Presentation and knowledge of the product, the quality of material, the installation was flawless. They will be more then the average competitor, but you get what you pay for. We will do repeat business with them again!"

  • "Buyer beware! This company is RIDICULOUSLY overpriced! They quoted me over $38,000 for a siding job on my bungalow. I had already received two prior estimates, the highest being $10,300, just to give some context. The salesman started the visit by talking about my gutters (which were fine). I reminded him that I did not need gutters, I only wanted an estimate for siding. He then wanted to do a tour of my home, which I did not permit. When he came inside my home, he started asking about my windows. I again told him I only wanted siding. He started "measuring the moisture" around my windows. Ultimately, he quoted a price that included a window. The "quote" was this $38,000+ figure he scratched out on a torn piece of notebook paper with no details and after showing me samples of windows and siding and a presentations for an hour and a half. When I told him, I was not interested and basically he could leave, he kept telling me he wasn't finished. I got him out of the door by agreeing to another meeting with the scheduler he called on the phone. The owner came out the following week with the same song and dance under the pretense of checking to make sure the estimate was accurate. When I cut to the chase with him, he finally said he could not do the job for close to $10K. While the quality of their materials looked good; however, it was not any better than what I had seen from other companies. It was a waste of my time and I would avoid them at all costs."

  • "I'm leaving this review because my husband and I were very frustrated with the initial presentation. We did not make a purchase. We made it clear that we were on a budget, as well as myself being clearly pregnant. The sales rep arrived and did wear his mask, respected social distancing etc; however, after about 20 minutes of discussion and showing him what we were looking to do, he got out a book and wanted to go through the whole thing before giving us a quote. I told him that because of my pregnancy, I was uncomfortable due to covid-19 risks and hoping we could try to keep things short, as this is an important project. We told him our budget, and he said he would definitely be over that price but continued to stay without providing an actual quote for another hour. Even after commenting to my husband that I was getting very hungry and needed to eat (as we hadn't anticipated a 1.5-2 hour visit to quote a door), the sales guy took another 20-30 minutes to write up the quote. They wanted $11,000 to do 2 doors!! We told him our budget was $1000 for one. Whether our budget was realistic or not, out of respect I felt he should have been straight forward and left our home when I expressed that I was uncomfortable with a 2 hour consult. It was as bad as shopping for windows."

  • "Had them out for quote on roof. It was really high. "Apples to apples", shingle, underlayment, install, etc., they were way high. And it looks like they just went Bankrupt, Chapter 11 this month. Now watch them delete this honest review."

  • "Perfect. That is the word I'd use to describe the process from start to finish. I had a difficult project that I wanted done ( see photo: replacing small windows in the dining room with a sliding glass door leading to the backyard) Not only was the service spot on and the quote super, super reasonable for the project but the crew was in and out in 1 day! (I still can't believe it) They were super professional and cleaned up EVERYTHING! I seriously can't say enough good things about this company. I am beyond happy with the final product. The sliding glass door itself is perfect, superior quality, and the work they did to put it in is flawless. They make super difficult jobs seem incredibly easy and Unique also followed up with a call to see how we liked everything and info about tons of great ways to get deals with them in the future simply by being a customer. 10/10! Having a company cut a huge hole into your house can be nerve-racking but their quality assurance is a huge plus and the guys working there are very talented at what they do. We absolutely love the renovation and it went PERFECT!"

  • "We rarely give reviews, and when we do them, we try to be as objective as possible. We wanted one company to do a whole bathroom project in a reasonable time and price. In our master bathroom, we asked for and did: a bathtub-to-shower conversion with a removed dropped ceiling, floor replacement, sink faucet replacement, toilet installation, old vanity re-caulking, wallpaper removal and wall and ceiling painting. We went with Unique Home Solutions even though they charge premium prices partially because they promised to have the shower functional at the end of the second day of work. At the end of the second day, they were to leave for the day without telling us the shower is not yet functional if we had not asked. When we asked, they said that they never have it functional in two days. Furthermore, we ended up with a mediocre paint job in the bathroom. The walls were not skim coated before priming and painting to cover the "evidence" from tearing down the wallpaper. When asked, why they skipped this logical step, the answers project team leader and the customer relations/service office gave was: skim coating/prepping the wall for painting was not included in their paint job description – just removing the wallpaper and painting, just as we asked. Basically, it was our fault for not telling them how to do their job. Is not the knowledge and competence customers entrust experts when hiring to do their job professionally? Should I fear not getting my soup in a restaurant because the waiter refuses to bring me the spoon simply because I did not specify my eating manners? For a professional home improvement company that considers itself the leader in the field, assuming customers' fault for not doing their job professionally is not and should not be an excuse. They never once recommended doing this – if it was an “extra,” they should have tried to upsell us, not just skip the step that obviously needed to be done. As far as we can tell, the rest of the bathroom remodeling job was done well, though the unprofessional paint job makes us nervous about what we can’t see, as well as their dishonesty in explicitly promising a functional two-day shower install that they were unable to deliver. Sincerely, Gordon family Summit County, Akron"
