  • "Home depot Westbank BC I am furious i am a senior, i have now been waiting since October 31,2021 for 5 appliances to be delivered. I have now been told I have to pick up 1 from store . And again now waiting till February 19. . I have a broken fridge, no washer and dryer and a stove that does not bake. WHY iS IT THE FLOOR MODELS ARE IN YOUR STORES now delivered BUT CANNOT DELIVER TO CUSTOMERS THAT HAVE ALREADY PAID. So delivery from warehouse to me is not an excuse. If they can get to the store , i have checked as i drove to 2 different stores. Also. They were not there when i ordered so my delivery has now been changed 4 times. At the very least how about marking it urgent? I explained my situation to the sakes clerk when I ordered. Maybe just maybe someone has the Customer service comment that is truthful. After I overheard a salesperson say. Well if she had expedited her order she would have had it by now next time need to move a little further away or check client cannot overhear.so do you deliver expedited first. so you hold customers that dont at ransome unless they pay more??? Results with a positive outcome. will be appreciated"

  • "Purchased a package of appliances back in March 2021, did not receive the appliances until June due to the pandemic. Keep in mind the finance company still expects you to pay for appliances that you have not received, that was another interesting phone call. Stove comes damaged and I file the ticket/report as any customer should. Fast forward to Dec and I have yet to hear anything or receive the new stove. Just spoke to a manager after sitting on hold and being transferred around, hung up on!!! Gentleman was pleasant and is going to make the call and find out what is happening with my stove that is fully paid for at this point and still damaged. Customer service is truly dead!!! Prior to Covid 19 companies would never have attempted to pull this or even get away with it. Is this now the new norm? If I could give this company ZERO stars I would but you must give them something to post your review. This lack of customer care is disgusting!!!"

  • "Please be aware of when dealing with Lucas. He promised us different windows and when the wrong windows were installed he disappeared. We've been trying to reach him to resolve this but he's not responding. The only reason we had windows replaced by Home depot is that we can trust the big company, but our recent experience has changed that misconception. I've called the home depot head Office and they've opened a ticket number. I'll update if anything changes."

  • "The order for one 2.1-Amp 6-inch Grinder with LED Lights was paid for and shipped using UPS complete with a tracking number and delivery date several days later. Then the item seemed to disappear from the tracking data with a notice from UPS - "We’re sorry for the inconvenience. If you are the sender, please check with the receiver to confirm delivery. Otherwise, you may start a claim to provide a resolution." - I called Home Depot customer service and was given a reference number 3230555 and told I would receive an email which is yet to arrive. I'm not impressed with this service. I don't feel I should initiate a claim with UPS; it should be done by Home Depot and whilst I wait perhaps my payment should be reimbursed. BTW, I created a Home Depot account, received a welcome email which contained two links one for Customer Service the other for Credit Services - both did not work."

  • "I am writing to commend Home Depot on the excellent service provided to me by Judy of the Paint Department (193 N Queen St, Mississauga) on the morning of Sept. 30, 2021. I needed some exterior paint to match the color of my home’s brick mortar. Not only did Judy colour match the colour perfectly, she assisted me in choosing the correct exterior paint. She was courteous, cheerful and very, very helpful. Frankly I did not expect such good service and was delightfully surprised at my experience. The next time I need paint I hope Judy is on duty. Please pass on my compliments to Judy."

  • "The people that support Home Depot Canada incoming calls are some of the worst communicators I have encountered (with the exception of Bell Canada - no one is as bad as Bell Canada lol). They don’t listen. They transfer calls to depts that don’t exist. They transfer calls to hang ups. They don’t listen, they don’t care. Take your business to the small local lumberyards like tamarack or even home hardware. Home Depot doesn’t believe they need to satisfy customers in any way shape or form. When you ask to speak to a manager, they will not or cannot transfer you to a manager. When you finally tell them to cancel your account with them, finally they seem relieved. And happy to help. How is this company in business."

  • "I ordered my appliances 3 months early as I knew it would be delayed due to the pandemic. I was told 2 and a 1/2 weeks ago my appliances would be delivered but they didn't have the right address when address was changed the wrong address was sent to the Carrier who supposed to deliver my appliances. In the past week I have been on hold for over 6 and a 1/2 hours half hours Trying to get my appliances delivered to the right address I have been cut off 8 × 4 those were today . I was told last Wed my appliances would be delivered no phone call and was then told they had wrong town to deliver too. Then told they would be delivered on the following Saturday we stayed until 7pm Waiting and nobody showed up no phone call no nothing. Was told by your agent that the Carrier was probably behind which is why we didn't get them delivered.I was told 2 days ago that my appliances would be delivered today and I would get a call from the Carrier again no phone call nobody contacted me no communication whatsoever. So again today I waited and was cut off 4 times while on hold only to finally be told the Carrier is not picking up the phone and they will get back to me. There has to be a better way for you to run your delivery service then making people wait and wait for appliances that they paid for months ago. Only to be told you can all us back.later for compensation"

I live some distance away from this store and need help with the full kitchen that was purchased as well as my washer and dryer) I have tried to call the customer service (?) on several occasions with no one ever answering the phone. Last attempt, waiting for 55 minutes after which I gave up. This is not a one time event and I am frustrated with so called customer support. Covid has nothing to do with answering telephones. I will take further business to Lowes. I do know your system as a former employee from Ontario."

  • "Store located at 1000 SAUVE WEST - MONTREAL Got charged twice for the same item, can happen. Tried to call over 20 times , no-one ever picks up the phone or if they do after you waited for an hour they just hang up on you without even talking to you. Contacted their messaging service, they opened a ticket, I followed up twice..... One month later still haven't been able to talk to anyone and the $480 double charge has still not be refunded. Have to know cancel this charge with my credit card but what kind of business does just not answer clients........ I contacted corporate office in Toronto, guess what..... No-one picks up the phone...... Never again Home Depot !!"

  • "I sent my sister's to pick up an online order for soil at the Richmond Hill North location. After an hour of waiting they flagged someone outside to help them. They gave my sisters two of a different size than I ordered as they thought it was equivalent but it is not. I've spent an hour and a half on the phone trying to call the store they won't pick up. I called this phone line and the man who answered said to just give him one minute to bring everything up then transferred me back to the call menu. I messaged the text message support and they told me they can't help me although what is happening isn't right. Hours of headaches, dealing with rude people and I got nowhere."

  • "very disappointment in the service I received today, when trying to place my order this morning at 8:30, I put in my info it said items could not be delivered (I asked for pickup?) and to call customer service. I called, it hung up on me, when I got through lines where busy, understandable. Called the store to see if I can do a phone order that way, nope. Fine so she suggested online, waited all morning for help finally got someone at 11ish. Placed my order told him I'd like to pay with a gift card. Sends me a credit card link and remind him again it is with a gift card he is surprised and said I can't pay for it entirely with that?? The system with paying with a gift card is down. So I am asking if there is other ways to process it, over the phone, when I pick up the order. He then informs me he will be going on break at noon and that he will be back in half hour?? That really threw me and feel that was very rude. If we where in store would these employees just leave me there once their break started? No they finish up and then take their break. I completely understand Covid has messed up a lot of things, I'm an essential worker but when things go down we inform customers right away and find ways to go around it. I have now wasted half my day off when if I was informed at 8:30/9 what was happening I could have moved on. Very disappointed but more so with customer service"

  • "Last fall we bought an LG washer and dryer from Home Depot in Pickering,ON. The machines were delivered a couple of weeks later and after a few days before we used them for the first time we noticed a scratch on the door of the dryer. We contacted Home Depot as soon as we noticed the scratch and were referred to LG who indicated they could not help us because we didn't report it within 48 hrs after delivery. Really??!! I took this info and contacted the store manager in Pickering, her name was Jodi. She took very good care of the situation and made things right. The store paid for the replacement of the dryer door and all is well now. We were very satisfied with the outcome of what could have been a very stressful situation. Thanks Jodi. ....and thats why we continue to do our home renovation shopping at Home Depot Pickering Neil and Fiona O'Brien"

  • "I only gave them one star because I can't give them 0. I went to a Home Depot in Calgary to buy a utility trailer. I picked the one I wanted which was a 5'x7'. What followed next was nothing short of a complete mess up. After playing around with it for a few hours they tried to give me 4'x6' based on a wrong vin #. I told them I bought a larger one and paid for a larger one. I rejected the one they wanted to give me and asked how they could screw up the same sale twice in one day. The manager shrugged and said it sometimes happens. I demanded a full refund and told him I would never be back."

  • "I am so DISAPPOINTED with Home Depot. I purchased a gas range and gas dryer early November 2020 with a delivery date of 22 Jan 2021. I booked time off from work to be at the house for delivery and my wife took off time to get the appliances installed by the gas fitter. 48hrs before delivery GE called me from NB and stated due to delays the delivery date is now 17 March 2021! My wife and I have booked time off and now it is too late to change time off.We will both lose a days pay and I had to cancel the gas fitter. My major problems with this are; the change came way too late and the only solution offered was go somewhere else, pick something else in the store that is available...I mentioned that they, Home Depot, need to make this right. Me going to another store will not compensate my losses and is not fair. I asked for compensation and I was informed upon delivery they would decide what compensation is owed but not before. I said I have a better more fair solution. Reimburse my over$2000 that I paid in good faith now and I will pay for the items minus the compensation deemed appropriate by Home Depot upon delivery. Not possible but Home Depot can hold my money over 4 months. I bought local to avoid these issues but buying local means nothing and Home Depot needs to better explain the sales process and how many 3rd parties are involved before you purchase. I spent over an hour on the phone with the head office with no positive results. The customer has to stand their ground against these large corporations otherwise we lose!"
