    "This company does not do a good job. Firstly, they are not clear on timelines. I understand that this will take a while, but they should do their best to keep customers updated with schedules and what is involved in the process. Secondly, even though we had a technician out who did an in person review of the design, when they came to do the installation, they did not have the equipment necessary to do it. Thirdly, due to the height of our house, they needed to get a specific permit, but they did not do this. Part of their job is to secure the proper permits. It's very concerning to me that they aren't aware of what the proper permits are. Lastly, during the installation, they damaged our ceiling fan wiring that is in the attic. Also, their customer service is very lacking. When I called about these issues, the Customer "Care" was quite rude and didn't even apologize until I pointed out that their incompetence is what led to this."

    "SES installed our panels back in early 2020. The sales rep was great, the installation went well (though a little delayed and we missed the better federal incentives in 2019, oh well). We had one of our microinverters fail fairly early on and they came out to fix it relatively quickly. However, since then they have really dropped off in terms of communication from their service department. The 3G communication from the inverter was obsoleted so we need to have it converted to ethernet so that we can continue to monitor our panels and ensure they are all still producing. This would be a very easy conversion. I have been emailing and calling their service department for about a year now and have received virtually no response. They don't answer the service department phone and they don't respond to emails. The only way I've gotten a response is to email the very apologetic sales rep that I originally worked with but even he is only able to relay a vague "we'll try to get someone out sometime" message. I have recommended SES to friends of mine that were interested in solar but I will not be able to do that anymore- I'll be pointing them to other local installers like Celestial."
