Star Improvements of Michigan, Inc. has been helping homeowners and businesses throughout Michigan for over 20 years, providing construction and home improvement services to the Bay, Genesee, Tuscola, and Saginaw Counties and most of lower Michigan. We tackle roofing, siding, windows, gutters, and complete interior and exterior remodeling and painting, which includes drywall, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, and custom woodwork. We accept insurance jobs and offer free estimates, so give us a call today!

"We had an emergency roof issue pop up. We called Star Improvements and with a short notice, they still got someone out here. Josh was our technician. He was informative, professional, and friendly. He protected our roof until ( as it was getting dark) and returned the next day to solve the issue. The price was very fair! I highly recommend this company to anyone!!!!"
"I have a place on Sandpoint and the roof had deteriorated to point that it needed to be replaced. I started looking for a local contractors in the area and was not comfortable with the products offered, skill and time-line. So I found Star Improvements of Michigan, I called them to see if they would service Sandpoint and they did. An appointment was made and the their sales rep came out and looked over the roof, took measurements, went over the details and quote. I had previous experience with Owens Corning Duration line and the was their recommended product, which was a plus. After confirming my budget we arranged and appointment for installation. Star brought in their equipment the night before and had the materials delivered. The team was on-site the next morning, they were on-time and got started straight away. To my amazement, they stripped the old roof, installed the new roof and new skylight the same day. While this may not be typical, they did 30 square in one day on a 5/12 roof. They did a great job of clean-up and the next day another team member was out to verify everything and made sure everything was clean. Shawn actually called me the evening the job was done to check on my satisfaction. While this review might be a bit winded, all I can say was that I was totally impressed with the Star team, quality of workmanship, professionalism. I highly recommend Star Improvements!!!"
"I HIGHLY recommend Star Improvements! I had my roof, soffits, gutters, downspouts redone plus some siding and could not be happier with how it turned out. They have great quality material and had a better estimate than others. The team is very professional and respectful, they pay attention to all details and put their customer's needs at top priority. I had a few last minute decision changes and they went above and beyond to accommodate to make sure I ended up with what I wanted. At one point they ran into an issue so they made multiple additional trips out and spent their resources to fix it perfectly at no extra cost to me. Prices were clearly communicated beforehand and no surprise charges. Their cleanup was flawless and they used magnets several times (sorry for the surprise snake, Shelli!). Super efficient work and they communicated each step of the process, answered my endless questions, accommodated my schedule. They made recommendations for things that I had not thought about and my house looks so much better than I ever expected. Thank you so much Shawn, Mike, Josh, Shelli, Tim, Lisa, and everyone for the awesome work!!"
