"Based on good reviews, chose this company for getting an estimate for roof repair. I scheduled an appointment through their website for the estimate, but received a call from their office, asking me if I would like to replace the roof. when I said no, just want to get an estimate for repair, not replacement, they told me that they are booked for repair and canceled my appointment for the estimate! I think it was very unprofessional behavior."

"As like any home owner, it was on to my next home improvement project and for me that was to add a new roof and solar. I talked with some friends and colleagues about their experiences. I contacted several companies to get an estimate but only one was easy to schedule an appointment. John Hughes dropped by a day earlier than expected and he was very friendly and easy to talk to. We got to know each other a little, what I was looking to do, what he had to offer, etc. He went on my roof to check things out and then came into my home with the types of roofs they have. I loved the charcoal color and John called to make sure if they had any in stock. Sure enough they had enough for three more homes so one would be mine. John then discussed me with how solar works and answered all of my questions. He also went outside to look at my fuse box and answered my questions on future projects I had in mine. John did not pressure me into a sale and I appreciated that. He was very open and honest with me on what they could offer me. He also gave me a great offer. Come to find out a few months later the price I was sold on was far more superior than what one of my colleagues was recently quoted on through another company. As time went on during the projects, I had to get some clarification on the roof and solar so I contacted John and he responded quickly. I appreciated that. Thank you John for everything. I am very happy with how my roof looks and the solar panels too. I have been given great compliments on them. If there was one word to describe John, it would be this word we used a lot in the Air Force...outstanding. If you are a military veteran then John is definitely the guy to talk to. Even if you are not, ask for John anyway. He will take excellent care of you. I remember on day one of the roof work, there were about six workers on my roof as they removed it beginning at 7:00 AM. They were done by 11:00 AM and another group of workers dropped off the new roof and its materials. The new roof was completed on its third day. The solar was soon installed along with a new fuse box. I am just waiting for SMUD to make its final inspection so I can turn on my solar and see how it works for me. I also want to say thank you to everyone who were helpful with their excellent customer service: Megan Boysel, Rebecca Henkel, and Jeff Tilford. There are a few others that I cannot remember their names but the guy who installed my solar was awesome too. If you read this far then you will know I am very happy with how things have turned out. I highly recommend Spartan Home Services. Thank you to everyone at Spartan Home Services. Now I just need to pay this off so I can finally build our dream heated swimming pool and spa."
