  • "Matt, I want to thank you for being honest and giving us a estimate when all of the other contractors said they where just working off insurance numbers. Matt said my numbers when I do a estimate is the same with insurance or without. Your professional approach to all of our questions and concerns was top notch. The speed and quality of work what your company did on our roof and siding was amazing!! Your guys did a wonderful job at cleaning up behind themselves. I will recommend you to everyone I know! Again, Thank you so much Matt and please thank your crew as well!"

  • "Matt was very responsive from the start. Matt and his team showed up on the date he scheduled with us and replaced our roof and installed 3 new skylights in 1 day. Pretty impressive. And clean up was impressive as well. Matt's quote was the best out of 3 other companies. I highly recommend working with Smith Roofing and Exteriors."

  • "I contacted smith roofing to get a second opinion after the early summer hail damage. My original contractor said he had received damage and to file a claim with insurance. I did so and they denied the claim and said there was no damage. After informing the original contractor, I didn’t hear back. Wanting a second opinion and a contractor to help fight the insurance company, I contacted smith roofing. He drove out to my house and I told him what had happened with insurance and he wouldn’t even get up on the roof to look at it! Apparently it wasn’t worth his time. Too bad, I finally found a contractor that was willing to fight for their client. This other contractor just took some pictures of the damage and less than 24 hours later insurance approved a full replacement. Long story short, if you have a full roof replacement through insurance, smith roofing might not be for you. They aren’t willing to do the work to help get it approved through insurance. Edit to the owner: I was looking for you to look at my roof and take pictures as my insurance company had asked. Insurance companies deny claims in hopes the homeowner gives up. It’s laughable that you think the company I eventually went with is a “storm chaser”. They are in Fitchburg! As far as patience, I did nothing but show you the necessary patience as I know you were busy. You didn’t come out to my house until nearly a month after I originally asked, and that was perfectly alright with me. I understand with the storms that you were incredibly busy. My problem with you and your company is that you came to my house and when I told you I had a claim for my roof, you wouldn’t even go on my roof to look to see if there was damage or not. It seemed as though you didn’t want to waste your time. When you were texting me and asked what I would do in your shoes, well, if I went to a potential customers house because they felt they had roof damage I would look at their roof! That’s what you do! I would have loved to have been able to use your company, but your actions (or in actions) made it appear like you didn’t want my business. Like you told me, you have 70 roofs to look at. No wonder why you didn’t want to make a little extra effort to get mine."
