With over 20 years of industry experience, Shanco Companies specializes in roofing for the Richmond Area. Customer Satisfaction is our #1 goal. While maintaining an excellent rating as a member of the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Checkbooks, Shanco Companies is also the recipient of the 2011 Angie’s List Super Service Award, in addition to receiving the award for roofing, gutters, and siding in 2010. Shanco Companies provides various other services which include siding, windows, doors, gutters, and downspouts.

"From the initial inspection through roof and gutter installation, this home improvement project went very well. Shanco representatives were personal and professional; they conducted the inspection, gave us a very competitive estimate and scheduled the work to meet our schedule. "These guys were awesome. When we noticed a leak in our house, we were recommended Shanco. They called me back within a day and Justin Vanegas who works for them was out there within a week. He took his time, going over every square inch of my roof and determined that there was storm damage to the roof. They work with a public adjuster and between Shanco and the adjuster, I didn't have to do anything. They filed my claim, took the pictures and worked with my insurance company on a date for their inspector to come out. A couple of hours prior to the insurance inspector coming out, Shanco was there on the roof, chalking all the damage for them to see. Within 48 hours of that inspection, the check was cut and I was on my way to getting a new roof. Shanco then sent me all their tiles for me to choose from and helped pick ones that were closet to the old color. Once they had ordered all the material they were there within about 2 weeks with it and the roofers came ready to work. The roofers were there when they said they would be, had my old roof off in hours and proceeded to put on the new roof all the while cleaning up. They had my new roof 99% complete in one day! They returned the next day to put the finishing touches on it and to finish cleaning. Such a fast process for what I thought would be a full 2-3 day job. What I am also most pleased about was the quality control. The Project Manager came out to the house, got on the roof to ensure that the roof was on correct and to document any deficiencies that he found. While there will always be a little, he ensured me that his team would be back out to fix minor things. I thought that was excellent customer service. I would recommend anyone to Shanco for their professionalism and workmanship. From start to finish, I didn't have to worry about a thing."
