  • "Decided to reduce my carbon footprint and contacted Powerhome. Not fully online yet but the installation crew was very courteous and professional. Worked smart and quickly considering the roof Temps during the 90+ degree day! Still have a couple of minor issues but I'm confident these will be resolved promptly by Powerhome since they have been so hands on thus far. Great crew!"

  • "I just called to ask more information about Solar Energy since we are building a home and was thinking of doing solar panels. Unfortunately I spoke to someone who is really unhelpful, having a lot of good reviews you would think this company will explain how the solar energy works but was told the next step is consultation and there is nothing we can do for you at this time. I was really just wanting to learn more about their products. So disappointing."

  • "It was a seamless experience from day 1 after we decided to go solar. After Jacob sold us on the benefits of the whole experience, it was like clockwork with everything getting set up for the install. Now all we're waiting on is the QA inspection so we can start earning credits from our utility company. So far, our energy usage has been cut in half with a lot being wasted by not going back to the grid. Can't wait to be able to use the credits overnight and make our utility bill reach 0!"

  • "worst mistake I ever made. they promised a lot and do not deliver. I pay more now for electric than before I got solar. anyone interested in this, do not sign a contract unless you have a lawyer look at it. when I complain I am told too bad, I signed the contract ... I was promised a lower energy bill. sold me a 6.4Kw system that produces on average 3kw. I was told it's because it's not summer yet. gee, that wasn't in the contract. what was in the contract that was hidden very well and not explained was 60% solar and 40% duke. . the whole process was a bait and switch and I got taken. GET A LAWYER BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO USE THIS COMPANY Jason, why would I sign a contract to pay more for electric when your commercial says get solar and pay less"

  • "This company comes out to my house WEEKLY after I have clearly told them NO that I’m not interested. Is anyone keeping track of the responses they have received from the first individual. I have tried to remain professional as every person who comes out is different. This is not 1950 there are other ways to get people to sign up for solar panels. How about instead of sending sales people to random houses send literature in the mail like other companies. If someone is interested they can call and make an appointment to have it installed. Thanks!"

The salesman was not high pressure and allowed me to take several days to consider making such a large purchase, which is refreshing compared to other companies that want you to sign the same day. I like how the panels are made in the US. The warranty on all components is fantastic. They handled all the permits, HOA, and communications with my utility company. The installation crew got everything done in one day, and I was running on my own power that day. It took about a week to get the final inspection done so I could start selling power back to the grid. I have also been able to get in touch with a local person who can answer all my questions. No foreign call center. Just fantastic."

  • "Never received a copy of agreement for a year. First ice storm, no power at all. Wife on oxygen. Called several times to no avail. I want it out of here. I have never been so disgusted after spending all the money thinking if power went out we would be ok. No one ever came back and showed or told us anything. Only way somebody would answer calls is if you called to purchase. I am getting a lawyer. Nothing left to do. I have had it. That's not all if anything my electric bill is higher!Figure that out.If you want my advice please check with someone personally that has these solar system and you will find out truth. I would not wish anyone else to have to go through this nightmare.I want all the money back we have invested in this mess.Th"

  • "WORST SERVICE EVER!!! IF I COULD RETURN THESE THINGS I WOULD!! I bought these panels a couple of years ago and had them installed on my old house. When we moved we moved the panels and had them installed on our current house. THIS IS WHEN THE PROBLEMS BEGAN. We paid to do the whole lift and pull in advance and had to wait months before we even got the panels installed. We were given a bunch of excuses about permitting delays. Finally after countless calls to the mooresville office we got the panels installed. I’ve pulled permits on my own and I know it’s as easy as walking up to the counter with the correct information and some cash. We had to pay basically twice the power bill because we had no panels to generate power to offset our bill as well as paying for the panels. I couldn’t even get a solid appointment or start date. Just promises of return calls that were never made. Since, there have been issues that I can’t even get a call back on. I called in September last year(2020). We noticed on our bill that we were not getting any money back from the power company from our solar. This was during the summer months when we should have been generating the most power. I was told that someone from the service department would be calling me in two months to schedule a appointment for service. Well where we are in January still no call. I called and even talking to a manager and being promised that service dept. would call me within 48 hrs. I still have yet to be contacted. The manager looked at my system online and even noted that I had a panel out. I didn’t know that lifetime warranty meant meant that you have to wait a lifetime to fix any problems that may occur."
