"This is a long term review of the service I received from Millersburg construction. In June of 2021 a bad hail storm damaged my siding and roof. I didn't want to go with a storm chasers so instead opted to go with a company right down the road from me, Millersburg Construction. The guy that came out was very friendly and gave me confidence that the job would be handled properly. When my adjuster came out it should have been clear this was going to be a nightmare when the Millersburg employee and the adjuster were practically yelling at each other. Once the estimate was done and sent to the insurance company it was quickly denied. Now I don't know which side had the issue but Millersburg and my insurance company, SafeCo, could not work together and I had to be the middle man. Also Millersburg was no help when the insurance company pushed back on the estimate and I had to do a lot work deciphering my insurance policy and researching state laws, I would think a company advertising storm damage repair would know the in and outs of insurance policies and state regulations on insurance companies? Initially when the work was completed I was very happy. However it wasn't 24 hours later when I heard a weird noise and when I looked out the window there was a whole section of shingles flapping. They came out and said it would be fine once the sun heated them up but that wasn't the case. Within a few months whole sections of shingles were missing and the only communication I had with Millersburg was that they wanted their final payment. Once they realized they were not going to receive the last of their money until I was happy they did come out to fix the missing shingles. Now I would have preferred they redid the 10x10 gable that was the issue but they just slipped some shingles in and tacked them down, I guess my project didn't warrant a 1/2 day to fix right. Now fast forward 10 months and I come home to it raining in my kitchen. Millersburg is claiming it was an ice dam, on the other side of the house, that caused it however it is right below a plumbing vent so I have my doubts. The employee that was sent out never even went into the attic to verify or check for damage to insulation. I guess Millersburg is hoping I will just not care about wet insulation and a stained ceiling. Overall my impressions of the company are that they lack professionalism and motivation to provide quality and service. As a trades professional myself they have reinforced for me how to not treat customers regardless of how lucrative the job. Hopefully this latest issue can be resolved and I don't have any further issues as I would prefer to not deal with Millersburg Construction again."
