  • "What a wonderful experience building with Essex Homes of WNY. Everyone from the salesman to the project coordinator to the build manager was patient, friendly, knowledgeable and trust worthy. We built our home in Buffalo while living in Canada. Delivery time was a big deal for us, as well as the fact we cannot go visit the construction as often as we wanted to. Essex made it easy and less stressful. Everyone was very knowledgeable and friendly and we were kept up to date throughout the process. We were also informed of upcoming steps ahead of time. We felt that they cared about us and our home, they respected our timeline and they proactively gave us ideas, pointers and raised concerns on our selections so we can make the best choice given that this was our first time building a whole house from scratch. Everyone was very knowledgeable of their field so we were able to get responses to our questions in a very timely manner. The most important was the house was delivered on time in a great condition, which is absolutely amazing. A special thanks to Scott, Vinnie and Mike, you guys are fantastic. We feel very lucky with our decision to build our home with Essex Homes of WNY."

  • "It was one the worst experience which I had with the sales team of Essex home and I felt very disrespected in my 2nd conversation with Mr sales man. Below is what have experienced. I called Mr sales man few times and left voice messages which he responded well in time. I asked to get his time to get little details on pricing but he mentioned that I will have to hold the the lot by giving check of 2000$ before we can do pricing. I was ok even with this since I truly wanted to get to the price. On last Sunday I visited Orchard Park model home where I met Mr sales man and he responded well in our first meeting and we told him that we will be visiting Lancaster model and then submit the check to hold the lot and get to pricing. Today ( Monday) I texted him to ask the address of the Clarence office so that I can deposit the check. He immediately called me asking what I am looking for which I responded that I am interested in the floor plan which had base price of 553K. He told me that it is not possible to get that floor plan with my budget because the model home in Lancaster is around 750K. I was literally very surprised that he did not even give me chance to get to price where I would choose my option beyond the base price of 553K instead he started on the top down approach to make me feel that I should not be even thinking that I would be able to buy the house. He told me that model price is around 750K and if we remove sun room of 42000 from the price then it becomes 708K then if we remove 9 foot ceiling, 4 foot extension still you just can’t buy the house. His intention was more to tell me that I just can’t buy house instead of doing the pricing from the base price and letting me add my options. I am not sure how many houses he is able to sell with this approach. Mr sales man, you might think I won’t be able to buy house because of my skin color but let me assure that I will never buy house from Essex ever because of the way you disrespected me in today’s call and good luck to you in selling the houses. Hope someone teaches you on how to respect customers,"
