Customer Reviews

"We had two roof replacements done by Cornerstone Building & Restoration in the past two months -- one was for our primary residence and the second was a rental property we own across town. The experience overall was less than wonderful, especially for the amount of money paid to them. The total between the two roof replacements was a little more than $40,000. The reason I note this is because the level of customer service we received for the amount they were paid simply didn't match. The first major issue was communication. From the gentleman who did the initial evaluation of our roofs, to the roofers themselves, and then to the office staff. It was simply a cluster throughout the entire process. We were scheduled to have the rental roof replacement start on a particular day and then the roofers never showed. No one from Cornerstone called to say they were running late or that they needed to reschedule the work. I called to find out what was going on. The repair eventually got rescheduled and the work was done. When it came time to replace the roof at our primary residence, the experience was no better. They had to reschedule the replacement, just like the first job. When they did the work, they were EXTREMELY rough on the house and property. There were tar marks and holes in our siding, a piece from our deck was broken, a gutter was hanging, and more trash and nails than I could have imagined was left in the yard. We have two large dogs and it was nerve-racking knowing they could swallow a nail or piece of roof left over from their work. No roofer or anyone from Cornerstone called to make sure the work was complete or that we were satisfied. We had to call their office and find out who was coming back to fix everything that was wrong. Eventually they cleaned up the yard and repaired what they had broken. Lastly, trying to pay these guys was difficult to say the least. When we went to pay them the initial insurance payout, one of their team members left the check in their truck that happened to break down and was in a shop. We're talking a $3,000 check uncashed for more than a month sitting in a repair shop. When we went to settle up the bill now that both roofs have been repaired, there was confusion in their office on the final balance. We were supposed to receive credits since we got them two roofs to repair and the office didn't have any record of the credits. Needless to say, we will not be using Cornerstone Building & Restoration in the future for any work nor would we recommending them to any friends or family."
