    "Great job, our new roof looks amazing. Our roof was stripped (2 layers) and replaced in one day. Preston was great to work with and checked on the work throughout the whole process. The workers did a great job of cleaning up. We had solar panels that had to be removed and Preston arranged to have solar people remove and replace them after the job was done. I would (and have already) recommend this company. They are fair, fast, and do great work."

    "The excellent: -Communication was good throughout, and our estimator Scott was very professional and knowledgable. There were no aggressive sales tactics. -The bid was a fair price and included license and insurance information up front. -Payment terms were friendly, with not a lot down up front and payment by credit card without extra fees. I’ve seen folks on here asked to put 100% down — Don’t do that!!! -Post-installation issues were cleared up in a fair and timely manner, giving me confidence in the 2-year service warranty. -We have A LOT of trees/bushes in the yard, and I really feared mature trees would get damaged. But no! There were very minor issues to the permitter planting, but so much less impact than expected. -Cleanup was good considering 3 layers of shingles and their nails were removed. We only found a handful of nails and a few odd bits, which was better than expected. -I was NOT asked to write a review, and I’ve learned there are other companies that aggressively pursue reviews and hound you if you write a critical review, so I no longer trust companies with long lists of 5-star reviews on KSL. The issues (all resolved): -Chipman’s own inspection caught an issue with how the ridge-line shingles were installed, and the crew came back to fix it the next day. -Our swamp cooler was reinstalled noticeably crooked at first, parts were tossed during demo, and the electrical conduit dropped into the roof leaving the cord exposed to the elements. Chipman readily fixed all these issues once pointed out, but they don’t seem to be the most swamp-cooler savvy crew. -We discovered in the first rain that the front gutter wasn’t positioned under the drip line of the roof, and also an end cap for it was tossed at some point (and couldn’t be replaced due to being a discontinued profile). The company installed a new gutter for us over the front door and even a new downspout, which was above and beyond. It looks better than ever. I did take pictures before construction began, so I could have proven the issues with the swamp cooler, gutter, etc. But the great thing was that I never needed them. Chipman readily fixed it all. (They take their own pictures too, so don’t try to abuse this.) Maybe another company could have done the job to 100% perfection with zero issues. But going through the issues does give me more confidence in long-term support. Hopefully this helps you make up your mind."
