"In the New Year if you are considering any remodeling work I'd highly recommend working with Carranza Roofing and Remodeling. The team is best in class at what they do. We had a 37 ft long 9 ft deep porch constructed. This project was a long term goal for my wife and I when we first moved here but were told by countless contractors that it "wasn't possible due to the existing design of the home". Well, Minor and his team proved them wrong. He and team exceeded our expectations and turned our dreams into a reality. The office staff is professional and extremely helpful. The on site staff/ construction crew is professional, courteous, prompt and thorough. Having worked with many contractors over the years it was refreshing to work with Minor and the rest of the team. Even when the team unearthed what could have been a structural nightmare for us they resolved it promptly and remediated the issue. I'd recommend Carranza Roofing and Remodeling to anyone that is looking for a contractor to help them tackle their next remodeling project."
"TLDR; DO NOT USE CARRANZA ROOFING - in my experience they are unprofessional, have poor communication and customer care, provide incorrect estimates (by their own admission), and are generally unreliable. I sought out Carranza Roofing to address a roof leak issue that resulted in water entering one of my upstairs bedrooms through the ceiling. Carranza sent someone out to inspect my roof in the area of the leak and provide me with an estimate. The individual they sent out advised that all that was necessary to address the water intrusion was to address nail pops. They provided a seemingly reasonable estimate. After having other companies inspect and prepare estimates, I decided to go with Carranza. This is where the trouble began. I contacted Carranza to confirm that I would be moving forward with their estimate and communicated the urgency of this request - specifically that my insurance company was moving quickly to address the damage to the interior of my home (including opening the bedroom ceiling and removing all insulation) as well as the fact that rain was expected in the coming days. Carranza assured me that they would act quickly and address the nail pops prior to the upcoming rain storm and advised that a scheduler would contact me to get the appointment set up. After hearing nothing for several days, I reached out to them to reiterate the urgency of this request. They assured me that they would send out the repair person prior to the day that rain was inspected. They sent me an appointment confirmation for the day before rain was expected. The individual who was to perform repairs indicated that he would not be able to make it the day he was scheduled to come. They rescheduled it for 7:30am the next day, which they stated would be "before the rain was supposed to start." 7:30 am came and went and I had not heard from Carranza. I called their office and did not get an answer, so I left a message. I called again at 9:00am, as they still had not come and again there was no answer. I received a call at approximately 9:30am from the owner of Carranza advising that he was 20 minutes out and said nothing else. When the owner arrived, he - for the first time - told me that he did not come to do any repairs but came to provide a second opinion on what was needed. I reminded him that this repair was time-sensitive and that his office had delayed this repair for approximately a week and a half. I additionally told him that I would of course welcome his opinion, but I would have liked for it to have taken place much earlier. I also would have preferred that this had been communicated to me before he arrived given that the appointment I had made was for repairs to be made in advance of the rain. He responded with excuses that he was only first made aware of this problem the day before and there was nothing that he could do. Mr. Carranza went up on the roof, took photographs, and told me that the initial estimate was incorrect and he would have to prepare a new one recommending that the whole back section of my roof needed to be replaced. He told me that his own employee "failed me" and that he couldn't stand behind his own repair person's recommendation. He proceeded to blame me for this, saying that I must have told him I wanted a cheap repair and he was attempting to accommodate me. This is a classic bait and switch - getting me to go with their estimate over others with an initial, reasonable estimate, and then sending the "more knowledgeable" owner to come in and upsell on a larger repair. I requested that he, at a minimum, tarp my leaking roof to prevent additional water intrusion into my home given the delays. Mr. Carranza refused. Given his unprofessional and unreasonable actions, I made clear that I would not be going with his company."
"I called Carranze a few months ago for a quote on siding. They had a good quote and my neighbor used them, so I saw what a good job they did. They did an excellent job. I did have one problem and they sent someone out right away to fix the problem. It's service after the sale that's most important. I then had another unrelated problem a few months later with a small roof leak. Carranze himself came out and found the problem. He gave me a fair quote and I didn't hesitate to have them do the repair. They're an excellent company and I would have them do just about anything at my home. J. Saba"
