  • "I chose APR from Angie's List. Do not use this roofer. Dave came out and evaluated the roof,. I told him I had another estimate and told him the issues it addressed. Caulking, replacement of shingles, replacing flashing, repairing nail pops and possible replacement of roof vent. Dave agreed to do the same (though now he denies it) and could perform the work sooner, as the other roofer was not immediately available and there was a lot of rain in the forecast. I told Dave I was not available the next day. He came out the next day and did the repairs, most likely so I would not know how little work was done and how little time was spent. I had a new leak in my master bdrm ceiling. He said he would come out to repair...didn't see him for 2 weeks until i called a second time. The leak continued and my ceiling was starting to bubble. I called and said the leak was coming from the roof vent - I could see it in the attic. He said he would come out and I never saw him again. I have had 3 additional estimates for the roof, with dates, by well reviewed roofers. They said only a $6 tube of caulk was used and did not address any of the issues listed above, including the obvious need for a new roof vent i have a photo of the defective vent). I called Dave and shared these assessments and the fact that he ripped me off of at least $700. He denied what I said, of course, and appeared to be laughing while he spoke. I am sure he will respond with some trumped up excuses. The remedy I would request is the return of the $700 that he essentially stole from me. Plus now I need the roof vent replaced as well as the repair of my ceiling. DO NOT USE!"
