  • "These guys are just a glorified temp service. Save thousands of $ and go directly to the contractors. They’re the guys that’ll be doing the work for you anyways. Don’t let a middle man charge more for just subbing out the work. There’s a huge difference between experienced people that actually know what they’re doing and just hiring it out and skimming money from the customers. Find out who they hired out and go directly though that company. Saves you money and saves you from the headaches of wrong information/expectations being relayed."

  • "Yes, you have done business with me. From March 2021-Aug 2021, Rector Construction performed a full tear-off and replacement of our roof, facia, eaves, and gutters. However, your contact was mostly through my husband who has already exhausted his negative feedback. I am choosing to rate your company one star for several reasons: From the beginning of this project, the lack of communication has been frustrating and stressful. At least 3 times we were told that a team was coming out to start work and 3 times they did not show up and there was no communication as to if/when the work would be rescheduled. While I understand that emergencies happen and weather is unpredictable, a little transparency would have gone a long way to ease our concerns. Once work was completed on our roof, we had immediate issues. On 3/27/21, the day after roof-work was complete, it rained and our skylight started leaking water, damaging our interior roof (photos attached). We were told that someone would come out to take a look and make repairs, but again through lack of communication no one came out for approximately 5 days. My husband had to go up on the roof and make the repairs himself so we would not incur further damage. Eventually, a team came out to install a guard around our skylight and we negotiated a $200 credit on our invoice to offset the cost of repairing the interior damage ourselves. The repair work on our facia and eaves went a little smoother initially. However, less than a month after this work was completed, facia that had not been properly nailed down started falling off (photos attached). Again, my husband had to climb up on the roof and complete these repairs. In conclusion, I do not feel comfortable recommending Rector Construction to my friends and neighbors. Especially those who do not have the ability to physically climb up on their roof to inspect craftsmanship and make repairs to your work. There were other minor issues with craftsmanship and clean-up, but since completion of the project in August we have so far not had any more major problems. However, I am worried about durability through the upcoming winter. I was really hoping that a complete repair of our roof, facia, eaves, and gutters would help ease my concerns, not add to them. I hope you will take this feedback and apply it to your upcoming contracting jobs. Best of luck in the future."

  • "I can not recommend Rector Construction after my experience with them. TLDR: The major reason is because there was a communication issue between Rector and the people Rector subcontracted out to complete my job. The next reason was due to the quality of work by the subcontractor. While they were able to come out to give an estimate for the job within a week or so from requesting one, it was not made clear that they would be subcontracting the job out. There was a clear lack of communication between the subcontractor and Rector. The first issue was when the subcontractor failed to share all the details of the job, so the original contract didn’t include all the work to be done and I ended up being called 2 hours after the job started and told there would be an additional cost for something I had already discussed with the subcontractor when they came out to give see the job and give us an estimate. Next, the subcontractor never showed up on the second day. Before leaving on the first day, the subcontractor told me that he would return between 9 -10 the following day and finish the job because he had to take his car into the shop. When he did not show up by 11, I called Rector. When they looked into it, I was told that he had had a tire blow out and was getting it fixed, he would be there as soon as possible and finish that day. By 3:30, he had still not arrived and I called Rector again. I was told they would look into it. This time I was called back by the subcontractor, and he let me know that he had dropped his car off at 7:30 and had still heard nothing from the car shop - nothing about a tire blow out - and he would be there at 8:30 the next day to finish the job. There was also a quality issue with the work. For this, I will give Rector credit as Mike came out to look at the work within an hour of me calling. However, prior to calling Rector, the subcontractor stood in my house and told me that he couldn’t do anything, and he had no idea how to fix the problem or what to do, which I felt was unprofessional - especially since once Mike stepped in, the subcontractor returned and improved the issue within 30 minutes."

  • "The crew did a great job of tearing off multiple layers of old shingles and installing the new ones on my Mom's very steep roof. It was a difficult job but they stayed late and somehow managed to clean up every bit of the mess by the time they left! Also returned to fix a concern about her skylight when I called. Thanks for the great job. Highly recommend."

  • "The Rector Construction crew roofed and put put new gutters on my house. It is two stories and they did an excellent job. Clean up afterwards was immaculate. I've walked my property about 20 times and found 3 roofing nails. If you've ever roofed, you know that type of clean up is on a level of holiness. 5 stars all the way around. Job well done."

  • "Had to have a new roof put on my house due to hail damage last fall. Was happy with their work, scheduling, communication, and clean up. Crew was quick, efficient, and courteous. Was so impressed with the company I had them do the roof on my rental house 2 months later."

    - A.T.

  • "They put on my roof and it was very simple. Gave me an inspection and estimate in a few days. Roof was put on a few weeks after the initial call."

    - I.A.

  • "Replaced roof due to hail damage. The crew arrived on time and completed the job all in one day. Very hard working and environmentally conscientious re: flowers, shrubs and cleaning up (i.e., plastic, shingles, nails, etc.) afterwards. Highly recommend Rector Construction without any reservations."

    - M.F.

  • "Rector Construction was very user-friendly and came out fast to give a quote for my roof. Then they got me on their list about a week after I signed the contract and put on a brand new roof in one day. Highly recommend."

  • "They are right on spot with quality and service. Highly recommend."

  • "We were extremely happy with the professionalism and courtesy shown at every step of this process. I would recommended them without qualification."

  • "We used Rector Construction to replace our roof after a storm. They were so professional and helpful. The process was the easiest construction I’ve ever experienced. They came right away and gave us a bid. They were never pushy at all, which many companies can be. They answered my questions right away. Then after a few quick email exchanges, they came in one day and completed the roof. I am so thankful for their work and how stress free the entire process was. I cannot recommend them enough."

    - J.E.

  • "As I write this, I am watching my neighbor get a new roof thru another company and it makes me truly appreciate Rector! Rector replaced our roof late last year, and I want to commend the employees for their professionalism. You didn't take up our entire cul de sac with all your vehicles, blocking driveways and mailboxes. You did use a magnet thingie to check for all the nails and other things that are a by-product of a roofing job. Very respectful and hard working--I highly recommend Rector!!"

    - G.M.

  • "Great people. Very responsive and took care of all of the hassle."

    - I.A.

  • "Terribly unresponsive. Don't waste your time, and get a quote from somewhere else."

    - A.T.

  • "Installed new roofs on several of our properties after hail storm. Were VERY cooperative/very attentive to our needs. Still working on siding replacement and other details."

  • "Originally reached out about a shed on 6/22 and got a great near-immediate response (David T on Yelp). Unfortunately appointment was not until 7/14 (3 weeks later). These companies, especially good ones, are busy so I can't fault or take off "stars" for that one. However, a 7/11 hailstorm resulted in us wanting our roof checked out. Don B came out and evaluted nearly a week before our adjuster and confirmed damage. This all really helped speed up the process and our roof was done on 7/28 (just over 2 weeks after hailstorm). Communication with David T, Don B, and Jillian was pretty timely and convienient throughout the whole process. Roof looks great and work was done well. We needed a bit of decking replaced and fascia. They even came back out to touch up a couple areas to make sure it was done right and as preferred. Plan to use Rector for other projects. You can also pay by card for a fee, if preferred."

  • "We had some minor wind damage to our roof in a recent wind storm. Rector quoted quickly, reasonably and sent their staff out to fix it pronto. Excellent service & workmanship at a reasonable price. Very pleased with the process and the result. Thanks Rector!"

  • "We have had some great experiences with Rector construction. First, they remodeled our kitchen. It is beautiful and we love it. Then when I had to move out of my old studio to new offices they came in and very professionally cleaned out 23 years of junk that we had accumulated. They went far beyond what they said they would do, taking down fixtures and even helping us to carry out personal items to our vehicles. I can’t express enough how much worry they took off our shoulders."

    - L.M.

  • "My experience with Rector had such variation in quality of work and customer service over the course of the project that makes it difficult to assign a clear Star quantity. In short, I can't recommend them to friends without a disclaimer up front. I believe that they are generally great people trying to perform quality work. But my experience was that they took nearly 3 months to accomplish a project that they told me could be done in 3 weeks. (I do have to acknowledge that after the 3 weeks had passed, my dog died and I needed a week break from the construction. So that portion of the delay is on me). Several of their subs were out-right rude (electrician), and some were so poor in their jobs that we had to completely re-do an entire room's flooring. The greatest frustration was in the last 2 weeks, when there was less than 2 hours of work to get done. But they were too busy with other customers to complete our project. They did however have time to request my payment in full, before the work was done. Ending on a positive note; they did not try to sneak in extra costs throughout like some contractors. And the finished product is, with few exceptions, well done. I believe that as they develop their staff and processes they will become a really great contractor to work with."
