  • "Back in May of 2019 I had Mesler out to repair some flashing around a chimney that was leaking. Cassidy came out right away, scheduled the job, and workers did the repair without any issues. I paid in the invoice in full immediately upon receipt and was happy with the service. Then in October of 2020 I had some masonry work done on the chimney that resulted in leaking again, so I had Cassidy out to take a look and was told that it wasn't an actual leak, just residual moisture from the masonry work as the concrete was curing. This didn't make any sense to me but the moisture around the leak area did have a brick-red color to it, so I continued to clean and dry the area while I waited for the issue to go away on its own as Cassidy seemed to believe that it would. Instead the leak got worse (and the moisture was no longer reddish but now clear) so I called Cassidy again in February and he sent workers out to fix it. The workers were only on site for less than 10 minutes and there was no change at all in regards to the water leaking, which continues to get worse. I even took a video of myself scraping away the soggy wet drywall in the ceiling and sent it to Cassidy, who continued to insist that what I was experiencing wasn't an actual leak (?). During downpours I now need to put down a plastic container to collect the water that drips from the ceiling in my son's bedroom. I have called Mesler 9 times since February and no one there will call me back. The person who answers the phone is always polite and apologetic and has assured me that they have escalated the issue to Gregg but no one has returned my call and I have no idea why. At no point was I ever rude or questioned an invoice, nor was I expecting free services (I paid immediately and in full for the repair in February which did not fix the issue and expected to pay again if additional or more complex repairs are needed). I own rentals and am used to dealing with contractors and never have I been completely ignored like this for months while an issue gets worse. So now I find myself writing a negative review in another attempt to get some kind of response from this outfit. Like others have said, if you only have to deal with them once you may have a great experience, but if any kind of follow up is needed you may find yourself frustrated."

  • "I had a roof replaced that had never leaked, but looked like it was in rough condition. Mesler did a quick job at a seemingly fair price. But I suppose you get what you pay for. The roof started leaking and caused drywall ceiling damage and the light fixture where the leak happened no longer works. Had to contact them several times with no response before they finally came and fixed the leak, which took several weeks. However they did not fix the interior damage and in fact ignored many calls and messages about fixing the ceiling and light fixture damage. This company will not guarantee their work and will completely ignore you when you have an issue. They are quick to get your business, but don't count on anything after that. I own and manage a lot of rentals and it is sad that they will lose a lot of future business."

  • "I reached out to Mesler Roofing and Exteriors for a quote for siding and roofing. Everything seemed okay, the guy Gregg came out and apparently wrote up some estimates but rather than email them to me first, he wanted to call me. I asked why I couldn't see the estimates first and then call him and his reply was that if I was looking for the work to be done just on the price he wasn't the contractor for me. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the whole purpose of getting an estimate for the scope of work is to determine the price needed to complete the job? If price wasn't a major factor in determining which contractor gets the job then there would be no point in getting an estimate in the first place. This Gregg guy doesn't want me to see the estimates because of the price he quoted? I'm not looking for a delicate genius to paint a priceless painting on the side of my house, I just want new siding and this guy wants to talk first. It seemed pretty sketchy in fact Gregg's tone changed when I pressed to see the estimates first. So to satisfy my curiosity, I called Gregg....many times, but he refused to answer. I even invited him to call me on the phone but so far he hasn't. I just want to see the estimates and how they compare to the others I got. No other contractor that gave me an estimate acted as sketchy as this guy. Maybe I dodged a bullet."

  • "It's hard to find a good roofing professional. I contacted 4 roofing companies. Either their estimates were too high, or they didn't seem aboveboard. Someone referred Mesler. I had a good feeling about Gregg from the beginning. I was right to. He's straightforward. His responses to my questions and requests were polite and professional. The roof was finished more quickly than expected. It looks great. I don't have any complaints."

  • "Mesler Roofing & Exterior installed exterior siding and windows on our old historic barn. I had met with 2 other contractors on the project and was most impressed with Mesler and Pete (Sales and Project Manager). Pete took the time to understand what I wanted and presented proposals for what I wanted - as well as other options I had not considered. As a result, I ended up going with a suggestion they presented and I am glad I did! The sales process was not a hard sell, but rather consultative in terms of meeting my objective, timeline and budget. They knew they had a competitive (but not the lowest) price and instead of a hard close, they took time to make sure the job would be done right. Pete and Gregg, the owner, visited the site during the bidding process just to confirm what equipment and planning would be needed to safely and effectively access the 60+ foot cupola and gable peaks. During construction, communication was excellent and of course there were some delays due to weather and material suppliers, but I was always apprised of the schedule. Pete and the entire Mesler Team delivered a finished project that exceeded my expectation in appearance, reduced future maintenance costs and was within my budget. They proved themselves and earned my trust as a result!"

  • "Mesler Roofing & Exterior recently did a lot of work on our home -- new siding, deck and patio, gutters, windows, painting, and other things. We couldn't be happier with their work. We very much appreciate their great craftsmanship and skill. Gregg, Laben, and their crew were always friendly, polite, and very attentive to our needs and preferences. They were very conscientious about cleaning up the premises at the end of each day. We recommend them highly and give them the highest possible rating."
