  • "We were in desperate need of new windows and are extremely happy with our new windows from HCR. We can finally open them and they are just beautiful. We don’t hear road noise like before and I look forward to the energy savings. Suki, our Account Executive, was thoughtful and kind throughout the process of getting our new windows installed. We were so impressed that we chose to have new gutters installed from HCR as well and have been very impressed with the results!"

  • "This company was in my neighborhood last night going door-to-door past 8:00 pm. They came to my home at 8:05, and asked strange, random questions about my home and homes in the neighborhood. After telling him I was not interested about 5 times, he carried on with his incessant questioning. Eventually, I had to close the door on him, because he clearly wasn't going to listen to me or respect my request to leave. This behavior was incredibly intrusive and alarming, because it was past 8:00 and extremely dark. People throughout my neighborhood expressed similar bewilderment and frustration, as they also had people from this company come by and behave in similar ways. Word of advice for the future: don't send your people out during the night, don't permit such pushy, intrusive behaviors from your workers, and perhaps suggest they actually listen to the people who's homes they harass."

  • "Siding consultant that just left my house is the most unprofessional person I have ever met. She did not introduce herself in any way (name, company, etc) when I answered the door, and instead immediately asked if "we had a baby sleeping" (we did, not a big deal). She entered my home and asked if there "was a table available or if it was occupied" (work computers, printer, and kid's stuff was all over the dining room table). I immediately informed her that nothing would be signed or agreed on today and she, fortunately, didn't push the typical sales pitches of high pressure, FOMO, scare tactics for too long and left after 20 minutes. The young man who scheduled the consultation was awesome, but I'll be looking elsewhere for service after dealing with that woman."

The crew that installed them were wonderful I would use them again without hesitation. they wasted no time to get the job done with craftsmanship and the caulking lines were amazing."

  • "(If you want a quality product and service go to champion. Better products, better hardware, better warranty, I let them do the rest of the work to my home) When I originally paid for the door, I asked specifically for a doggy door that could accommodate a 125 lb dog. I was also sold on this warranty and I quote “you could literally run full speed and bust down your door and we will replace it”. My dog is now 9.5 months old and 105 lbs and can barely get through the door WITHOUT his harness on, this is the wrong door. I called to have this doggy door (rated for 100 lbs) replaced with a bigger one. It took them 2 months to get back to me after I had called twice and left an email JUST to tell me it would have to be 1600 dollars to replace the door for a new doggy door or my other option would be to install it myself and void my warranty. ADMITTING THAT A DOGGY DOOR CAN BE INSTALLED, but refusing to do it. Got to find all this out over text too so I have evidence of the Tom foolery being said. Big huge clown group here from the salesman, to the installers (who had to come back twice initially bc they didn’t do it right), and the service team. I wasted 3300 on a steel door that my dog can’t even use"

He took time to answer all my questions without making me feel rushed or pressured. He also showed personal interest in my specific concerns. Along with knowledge, this was a strong factor in my decision making process."

But if their installation is as excellent as their estimating process, I’ll be amending my review to 5 stars…..Chesley just did a thorough walkthrough to give us an estimate on window and door replacement. He was super friendly and professional, very knowledgeable - answered all my dumb questions, even did a demonstration with our current windows. Would highly recommend!"

  • "This company has had a salesman at our house for nearly 3.5 hours at this point with my wife being home alone and trying to take care of our newborn child. We just wanted you to come look at our roof and siding and give a price not trying to sale us a ridiculous price point. You want to put a 47k roof on a home we bought for 135k. Your sales tactics will be our reason for never using your company."

My rep was bad and had no communication. Did not call when the rep said he would and would not call or text back. However, once I called the main line and did not deal with the 2 reps, things got much better."

  • "Go read the other 1 star reviews! Came into our non-soliciting neighborhood and banged on every door. Came onto people's property AFTER DARK, with their KIDS playing outside. Basically screamed "we don't care about you, just your money"... but with actions, not words. I don't know for sure (because I'd never hire them), but it seems to me like one of those sales organizations that charges a premium rate but farms out the actual work to the cheapest/worst contractors they can find."

  • "Chesley Kennedy was my sales associate and he was amazing. He had to actually come back twice and both times was very professional and patient. He made the entire process easier by how knowledgeable he was. I would recommend him to anyone. But if you need financing it is terrible. If I would've known the scamming company they were, I wouldn't have used them."

They Offer a crazy price, when you don’t accept their price the rep will step aside and offer you a cheaper option because they can offer a bundle deal because a neighbor somewhere near by is using them too. Pathetic sales move, didn’t work on our family. Hope no one falls for their lies"

  • "You have a salesperson going door to door in my neighborhood at 7:45 at night. The man who knocked on my door WITHOUT A MASK was the most disrespectful person. It is pitch black outside and our lights were off yet your guy decided to knock anyway sending my dog into a barking fit and waking up my two small children. When I said no thanks explaining my dog is going crazy and my children are asleep he spoke over me to my husband standing behind me and said “yeah alright can I speak to you sir what do you do for a living?”. At that point we shut the door. This is inexcusable that you’re going to knock on my door so late and disrespect me. What kind of business model is this? Absolutely disgusting!!!"

  • "We were considering replacing our siding, so when a rep going door to door in our neighborhood came by, we said we were interested in a free estimate. They scheduled it in the evening and promised it would be 45 minutes. The guy came and was very friendly, but stayed for 1 and a half hours. He painted a pretty rosy picture of the company and we were interested. For some reason he didn't have the worksheet he needed to put an estimate in our hands, so he scribbled some numbers on a piece of paper to show us what he thought it would cost, but took that sheet with him when he finally left. He promised he'd email us a quote the next day. Never got an estimate. We received several calls over the next few days trying to convince us to go with them, and when we told them we still had not received an estimate, they always said they would work on it. Never heard from them. Then a few months later, the door to door folks came back, and I told the person what had happened before. She called her manager, who told her it must have been a different company (it was not, they have a distinctive logo). We told her we'd still be happy to review the estimate, she took our number and promised to get back to us. Never heard back, still have not received an estimate. We would have been a pretty easy sell if they could just have handed us an offer."

  • "I live in a development in northern Durham and they send door-to-door sales people nearly every month. The neighborhood has clearly visible “no soliciting” signs at every entrance. Every time they visit me, I tell them I’m not interested and to stop visiting my home. They do not respect personal requests like that and have continued to visit. I’ve spoken with a manager at their office and was explicit about removing my house from their canvassing list. I’ve done everything short of threatening legal action and they continue to harass me. Extremely unprofessional and bothersome company. If the quality of their work and professionalism on a job is a reflection of how they treat potential customers, you’re better off looking elsewhere."
