Customer Reviews

"I shopped around for a roofing company to reroof my house. It's a complicated membrane roof and I wanted it done right. I was hopeful using Layton and liked the workers. They were good to get back to me and responded well. That said the roof is not functioning as it should/did. And there has not been enough efforts to fix the problems. Although there are no leaks. The roof membrane was not slopped or engineered properly. I questioned about it because it was so different from the previous membrane they were replacing. They assured me it would drain. This has caused a lot of stress for me. It's a butterfly roof with a drain, no rain gutters. Because it was not engineered properly water falls over the edges causing lots of problems. It flooded my basement, causing major damage. I called to ask for them to fix but they said it was just a "freak storm" and that would not happen normally. Well, it has happened multiple times, and not just during storms. I've had to get on my roof during "freak storms" to keep the water from going over the edge. I carried 50 LB bags of sand up a ladder to prevent the water from overflowing the edges of the roof. I'm a widow so getting on the roof when it's raining, and windy carrying bags of sand is a lot of work for me. I've called and asked to have it fixed and they did come and looked at it. They said the sand bags was smart and seems to be doing the trick...SO that's not really what I needed. I also had 6 skylights installed. Replacing older ones. They said the new skylights would be more "energy efficient". But I can feel wind come through three of them. My kitchen is so cold because the skylights were not installed or air tight. I hate writing negative reviews. I just don't want anyone else to make the mistake I made. It was an expensive (over $20k) mistake for me. The company is good. I just don't think they are engineers with the knowledge or experience my roof needed."
"They do such a good job with what they do. There always trying there hardest to help everyone of their customers."
"Called on a Sunday afternoon, and got someone there within the hour. I was very impressed with the fast response and great attitude of the gentleman who showed up and took care of the leak. I will definitely call again"
