  • "Terrible service. They where recommended to me. Guy came out to assess quickly but months later still no quote and constantly told I would have it in a few days and never follows through."

  • "After being away for a few weeks, I came home to the evidence of a roof leak from my 6 year old roof. My HOA directed me to Allen Roofing as "they are very familiar" with the roofs in my villa development. I telephoned Allen Roofing immediately following the conversation with the HOA 5 days ago (Thursday). After not hearing a response the day I called them, I called again the following day to get an update, as the area was expecting rain again the following day (Saturday) and the leak was inches from my dining room chandelier, and (the now slightly sagging ceiling had) dripped onto my dining table and set. Their response was "an adjuster would contact me in the next 48 hours excluding the weekend". Today is Tuesday - no adjuster has ever contacted me. I (luckily) was able to find a roofing company on Friday, who committed to come out and at least make at temporary repair before the forecasted rain event. Once they were on my roof, they found they could make the permanent repair of a faulty roof vent boot. I cannot express enough disappointment in the disinterest of my situation at Allen Roofing."

  • "Allen Roofing was contracted by Consort Homes to put the roof on our new home. Every time the wind gets going, usually from April to June, we get shingles flying off our roof. We'd had to have this roof repaired (not by Allen because they were hard to reach and wouldn't give any warranties) several times in the few years we've been in our house. Plus, they installed the most junk IKO Canadian manufactured shingles (which are too large in metric measurements not suited for the US market) who had a class action against them for poor quality that didn't hold up to standards. As a roofer, they should have warned Consort about using junk on houses in our neighborhood. Our roofer that comes out and repairs it every year says IKO and Allen are the combo that was used in so many houses that have failed shingles in our neighborhood. It's frustrating because there is no way these will last 20 years when they started falling off at year 2. Update: Regarding Allen Roofing's response. There is no "confusion." I do not use my real name online as it's a security issue and I don't need more spam mail. The quality of work was poor (verified by two different roofing companies) and the product they put on was defective. Other homeowners in my neighborhood and others in which Consort Homes and McBride Homes used IKO shingles and Allen roofing are having major issues. Check the other reviews yourself."
