GAF, North America’s largest roofing manufacturer, was again voted #1 in quality in the 2013 BUILDER Brand Use Study, “Roofing: Asphalt/Fiberglass Shingles” category, securing the honor for eight of the past nine years. The company also ranked highest in the categories of “Brands Used in the Past 2 Years,” and “Brands Used the Most.”
According to BUILDER Group Publisher Jeff Calore, this is the largest study of its kind in the residential construction market, and serves as an annual standard for educating builders about the building product brands most widely used and respected by their colleagues and associates. “Homebuilders’ view of a brand's quality continues to be a primary driver of brand preference and use, especially as they look to deliver higher-performing homes”, said Calore. “In a product category such as asphalt shingles, our readers tell us that product performance is paramount. Given GAF’s consistent record of leadership when it comes to quality, the study offers important insight as to how GAF can serve builders’ needs.”
