Through its participation with The Designed Exterior Giveaway by Ply Gem, GAF, North America’s largest roofing and ventilation manufacturer, will be donating solar attic fans and roofing materials to retired Army veteran Gary Gaal of Fairfax County, Va. Case Design/Remodeling, Inc. won the complete exterior home package and architectural design services, valued at up to $50,000, and awarded the prize to Mr. Gaal, a local community volunteer.
The prize package includes windows, siding, stone veneer and accessories from Ply Gem, an entry door system from Plastpro, garage doors from Wayne Dalton, weatherization materials from Dow Building Solutions, along with the GAF roofing package. Architectural design services are from BSB Design, a firm that specializes in using low-maintenance materials to achieve historically accurate designs.
Case Design/Remodeling, Inc. had accepted nominations from community partners in order to determine a recipient for the package. They selected Mr. Gaal based on his history as a lieutenant colonel of the U.S. Army and his current status as a volunteer as an auxiliary police officer and assistant chief of the Franconia Fire Department.
“We are so pleased to be participating in the creation of a low-maintenance, energy efficient, and aesthetically pleasing exterior for a man as honorable as Mr. Gaal,” stated Paul Bromfield, senior VP of marketing at GAF.
