SINLGE-PLY PROJECT PROFILE

GAF World Headquaters

Completion Date : December 2014
The new roof installation accomplishes a number of goals for GAF. First and foremost, it provides us with a high-quality, energy-efficient, long-lasting roof. Second, it contributes to the LEED® certication status we are seeking for the building. Lastly, it enables GAF to showcase one of our premier roofing systems.

Overview

The existing building that GAF was moving into had a ballasted EPDM roof with XPS and EPS insulation. While the existing roof was not leaking, it was determined that due to the use of the XPS and EPS insulation, the roof design was not as energy efficient as GAF would like to have. In addition, the use of taped EPDM seams meant the increased possibility of leaking as compared to a heat weldable seam. It was determined that the more efficient energyGuardTM ISO and heat weldable EverGuard Extreme® TPO replace the existing roof.
