GAF Ranks Highest with Builders in Two Quality Rating Categories

GAF, North America’s largest roofing manufacturer, is pleased to announce that it was voted #1 in quality in the 2014 BUILDER Brand Use Study, in both the “Roofing: Asphalt/Fiberglass Shingles” and “Roofing: Clay/Concretes/Synthetic Tiles” categories. The company also ranked highest in the categories of “Brands Used in the Past 2 Years” and “Brands Used the Most.”

"The BUILDER Brand Use Survey is an annual benchmark that provides extensive insight across the largest spectrum of products used by today's builders," notes Paul Tourbaf, group president of Hanley Wood's Residential New Construction division. In addition to providing brand familiarity and product use data, the study also captures the market sentiment when it comes to what's driving product consideration and buying decisions. "There is a clear connection in the 2014 results that highlights a potent combination of product performance and features ahead of cost that drove decisions in the past," adds Tourbaf.
