GAF, North America’s largest roofing manufacturer, is proud to have donated roofing materials towards the 2014 Rebuilding Together “Kickoff to Rebuild” program. Rebuilding Together has partnered with the NFL in Super Bowl cities across the country, rebuilding houses and bringing together neighborhoods for 19 years. This year, companies are working together to revitalize a Moonachie, NJ neighborhood that had been devastated by Superstorm Sandy.
GAF contributed its popular Timberline HD Lifetimes Shingles to the project with the labor to install donated by Roof4Roof. For every new roof installed by Roof4Roof, a portion of the proceeds go to help families in need with roofing and related problems, in the U.S. and abroad.
“The effects of Sandy were especially devastating to many towns in the Northeast. GAF and its contractors and distributors are proud to help Rebuilding Together in its volunteer efforts to rebuild our local communities,” stated Gerry Messina, executive director of marketing.
More than 200 volunteers provided critical home repairs for 12 local low-income homeowners on October 18 and 19. Volunteers also will revitalize two community buildings and install a new playground as part of continued rebuilding efforts in communities affected by Superstorm Sandy. Renovations will be completed and the playground will be unveiled during Super Bowl weekend in January 2014.
