GAF Receives Prestigious “Partners of Choice” Award from David Weekley Homes for 7th Consecutive Year

GAF, North America’s largest roofing and ventilation manufacturer, has again received the distinguished “Partners of Choice” Award from David Weekley Homes, the country’s third largest, privately held, for-profit residential home builder. The award is part of David Weekley Homes’ rigorous, industry leading supplier evaluation program. GAF received an “A” in quality, its seventh consecutive award (including those given to Elk Corporation prior to its merger with GAF). Of 150 suppliers evaluated, only 7 were recognized with this honor. Winners compete against every sector of the building materials industry.

“We are thrilled that GAF continues to receive such high marks in a survey that measures world class performance,” stated Paul Bromfield, Sr. Vice President, Marketing at GAF. “With our heightened focus on advanced quality, industry expertise, and creating simple solutions, receiving an award for achieving world-class excellence in quality is especially satisfying.”

Now in their eighth year, the “Partners of Choice” Awards are based on the David Weekly Homes’ world-class National Trading Partner Survey, in which approximately 500 of its Team Members are surveyed and asked to rank trading partners in both quality and service with a score from one to ten. The scores for each company are averaged and an alpha rating is assigned relative to its ranking with other suppliers. Alpha rankings range from an A to an F in increments of 20%.

“The National Trading Partner Survey challenges not only our partners, but also their channel partners and installers to deliver the highest levels of quality and service to our company,” said Bill Justus, chief architect behind the award-winning evaluation system. “Through the years, GAF has delivered on this value proposition by achieving among the highest quality scores of approximately 150 participating companies. They have proven they are truly world-class in providing quality products to David Weekley Homes.”

“As we move forward with our mission to be a world class organization, this survey provides valuable feedback that we will use to continue striving to be the best,” commented Jim Schnepper, Senior Vice President of Sales at GAF. “We are extremely proud to have been honored with this award again – it speaks to the efforts of our sales force, our plants, and everyone within the GAF organization.”
