GAF Materials Corporation, the nation’s largest roofing and ventilation manufacturer, recently announced its participation in a segment of Green Earth Journal, a television show that focuses on finding solutions to pressing environmental issues. GAF was selected as an organization that is addressing the issues of conservation and sustainability through its unique product offerings and manufacturing processes. The program is scheduled to air on The Discovery Channel this Friday, November 26th at 8:30am with additional air dates on Fox Business News Network and the Documentary Channel throughout December. The segment will also be posted on GAF’s website at www.gaf.com.
“GAF is very pleased to have been selected to participate on a show whose goal is to bring attention to sustainability in the roofing industry,” said Martin Grohman, Director of Sustainability at GAF. “We take great pride in our sustainability efforts at GAF and are happy to help educate property owners about products that can reduce their electrical power bills or help improve indoor air quality. A roof can really be an asset, not just serving to protect a home for the long term, but also providing a foundation for renewable energy.”
GAF worked closely with producers at Image Alliance, creators of the series, to create a segment covering the many sustainable aspects of roofing systems, including “green” product lines for residential and commercial properties, optimized manufacturing processes that reduce usage of natural resources, and the recycling of asphalt shingles.
