GAF Materials Corporation Donates New Roof to Tennessee School on “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”

GAF Materials Corporation, the largest roofing manufacturer in North America, will be a contributor on this week’s episode of the long-running ABC network program, “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” During the devastating floods in Tennessee this past May, the Lighthouse School, run by the Sweatt Family, became nationally recognized after footage of it floating down the interstate was featured on news stations. GAF is proud to have contributed to the rebuilding of the school, donating all roofing materials.

“GAF is pleased to have participated in such a meaningful project that will have a lasting positive effect on the Sweatt family, the students, and the community as a whole,” stated Ted Marcopolus, Vice President of Marketing Services at GAF.

The school structure will feature GAF’s new Camelot® 30 Designer Shingles, the industry’s first truly affordable luxury shingle. The shingles incorporate GAF-Elk’s proprietary Advanced Protection technology, which offer improved performance, including superior wind resistance, while being more environmentally friendly due to lower unnecessary material usage. Camelot 30 shingles pass ASTM’s two toughest wind tests: ASTM D3161 Class F 110 mph and ASTM D7158 Class H 150 mph.

The program will be airing nationally on the ABC network at 8:00pm on Sunday, November 14th and will feature some of the country music industry’s most celebrated performers.
