"We hired PPC to complete a job abandoned by another contractor. PPC finished in two days what had taken a previous firm more than 9 months to start and eventually abandon. Not only did PPC complete the job, they were able to fix multiple defects left behind by this previous contractor. The siding looks great and the constant communication made for a great experience throughout. Thanks!"
"Rob knew there was rain coming and knew our roof was leaking and made sure it got done before another rain. They were all very easy to work with and talk to about anything and are very reasonably priced. I’ve never worked with such great people!"
"Decent work, tail light warranty. PPC replaced my roof in October of 2020, cost was about ~$17K covered by insurance. I intended to buy local, but I discovered the work crew was from Maryland and only one could speak English (so much for buying local). This was a little disappointing, but I thought, there is a labor shortage due to the Derecho and PPC is local and would be responsible (so I thought). It took a few days and looked like a good job and, so far, as of Oct 2021, was mostly so. Issue 1: During the job, they struggled with the tube sky light in our kitchen which, in the process, had fallen down about 1" from the ceiling. Before they left, I pointed this out and, with one guy on the roof, another in the attic and a third in the kitchen, they managed to get it pushed up to within about 1/4" of the ceiling. They seemed to be in a rush, so I thought I could live with it. We found broken glass under the attic access after they were done and later discovered they shattered a light bulb in the attic. Then over the next several months, the sky light fell down again and was 1” from the ceiling. So, in June 2021, I texted Rob. Here is the exchange: From Me: “Hi Rob, when the guys installed the roof they struggled with the skylight and it has subsequently falling down an inch from the ceiling. This is not an emergency or anything but do you think you could have somebody stop by and fix it? From C*** K*** at #### **** Street in Marion” From Rob: “I was there, we fixed it to your satisfaction, before you paid us. We are not interested. “ I was dumbfounded. I replied with “OK a $30000 roof and you won’t stand behind you work” (As an aside, PPC work was actually $17K, but there was a solar tear off and replacement too adding significant cost). I later wrote an email to Rob, to warn him that he should stand behind his work, and I never got a response. Issue 2: In August 2021, I was on the roof replacing an antenna on a tripod mast. During the roof replacement, the roofing crew and removed and replaced it. I was shocked to find that only 2 of the 3 tripod legs was actually attached to the roof. It was fortunate that it did not get torn off by high winds because of this blunder. I did not even try to contact Rob about this one, considering his response about the sky light issue. So, do not be deceived when a contractor crows about being local. Who cares about being local if they do not stand behind their work."
