This Starting Collar is used to transition from a flat surface like a plenum (made from metal, ductboard or insulated liner) to round pipe or insulated flexible duct. It is made of galvanized steel for durability. The 2in. space between the bead and the flange provides you with plenty of space for properly attaching insulated flexible duct.
Master Flow's Ductboard Starting Collar is suitable for most HVAC applications. It provides a transition from a flat surface like a plenum (made of metal, Ductboard or insulated) to round pipe or insulated flexible duct. It can be used with Ductboard, an internally lined or unlined plenum. This galvanized steel starting collar features extra-long tabs to fit most duct board thicknesses. It also has a stop bead located just above the teeth to use with bare metal.
An Air-Tite Take-Off provides an airtight seal when connecting insulated flexible duct or round pipe to a flat surface. This take-off can be used to redirect air from any side of the plenum or to transition from a rectangular pipe run. It can be installed with sheet metal screws (sold separately) and is suitable for most HVAC applications.
The Master Flow Side Take-Off is made of glavanized steel and installs with sheet-metal screws to help you begin trunk-line or branch-like runs from a flat surface. Its crimped collars offer a secure fit to pipe and insulated flexible duct.
Master Flow’s Top Take-Off is designed to cut into the plenum or rectangular duct and is used to either begin a trunk line or branch-like runs.
